IndyCar cult hero Conor Daly returns for the 2026 Indy 500 with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing backed by Kingspan. The 34-year-old will race with the No. 23 DRR Kingspan Chevrolet car. He will be alongside DRR teammate and fellow IndyCar commentator/pundit Jack Harvey.
Daly on racing back at IMS
Daly returns to IndyCar to compete in the 110th Indianapolis 500. He previously raced full-time with Juncos Hollinger Racing in 2025. The 2026 Indy 500 will mark the Indiana native’s 13th time at the Brickyard. In a press release, Daly shared racing in the 500 with DRR and Kingspan “means the world to me”.
Daly shared, “Having a chance to go racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway again at Indy 500 with DRR means the world to me. I love this event. I can’t wait to get back in the car, and I appreciate the chance that Dennis and everyone at Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has given me to do the job I enjoy.
“We’ve set some high goals with the No. 23. We want to win this race together, and I appreciate that Kingspan has come on board for the biggest race in the world. We appreciate their support for this effort to chase after that nice cold glass of milk in the winner’s circle.”
Reinbold is “ready to reach the ultimate goal” with Daly at the 2026 Indy 500
DRR owner Dennis Reinbold praised Daly’s determination during the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”
Reinbold Daly’s has been contention for a race win on “several occasions”.
Additionally, the team owner added that DRR wants “to put him” in Victory Lane with Kingspan.
Reinbold noted in a press release, “We are excited to partner with Kingspan to field our No. 23 entry for Conor in this year’s Indy 500. Kingspan is a world leader in its field, and we are pleased to team them up with Conor and a strong DRR team this year. Conor has been a contender to win the biggest race in the world on several occasions, and we want to put him, Kingspan and our squad in the IMS winner’s circle on May 24. We were top contenders in last year’s event, and we are ready to reach the ultimate goal this year.”
Building materials company, Kingspan, will back Daly’s attempt at Indy 500 victory. Kingspan’s President Alswinn Kieboom said backing Dalywill help retain their customer base while “promoting our North American growth ambition.”
