Martin Molnar continued his impressive form at Donington Park by setting the fastest time on the second day of 2026 GB3 Championship testing. After establishing a new benchmark lap on Wednesday, he improved even further on Thursday to stay firmly at the top of the timesheets.
Notably, the Rodin Motorsport driver delivered a 1m20.367s lap during the second of four sessions. As a result, he went nearly two seconds faster than the circuit’s outright GB3 lap record, underlining the performance gains of the updated machinery.

Meanwhile, the upgraded Tatuus MSV GB3-025 cars again demonstrated a clear step forward in pace. Throughout the day, several drivers closed in on Molnar’s benchmark, which highlighted the increasingly competitive field.
For instance, Rowan Campbell-Pilling from Xcel Motorsport surged up the order by topping the final session. Consequently, he finished just 0.057 seconds behind Molnar, keeping the pressure on until the end of the day.
At the same time, Molnar’s teammate Maxim Rehm secured third place after setting his best lap in the final session. Similarly, Abbi Pulling ensured a strong showing for Rodin Motorsport by completing the top four, only 0.174 seconds off the leading pace. Therefore, Rodin placed three drivers inside the top four, reinforcing its status as the team to beat during the test.
Further down the order, Flynn Jackes produced a strong performance for Elite Motorsport. He set the fifth-fastest time in the opening session and remained competitive throughout the day.
In addition, Fortec Motorsports’ Jack Taylor emerged as the team’s leading driver in sixth place, just ahead of Hillspeed’s Dante Vinci. Vinci, in turn, led his teammate Peter Bouzinelos, while Lucas Fluxa and Leon Wilson completed the top ten.
Importantly, only just over three quarters of a second separated the top ten drivers, which demonstrated the tight margins across the grid.
Momentum builds ahead of Silverstone
Over the course of the week, Molnar topped five of the eight sessions, establishing himself as the standout performer. However, three different drivers led sessions on Thursday, suggesting that competition continues to intensify.
Looking ahead, teams and drivers will now shift their focus to the next round of testing at Silverstone, where they will aim to build on the progress made at Donington Park.
