Matan Achituv will compete for reigning champions Elite Motorsport in the 2026 GB4 Championship, marking a major step in his rapidly developing career. At just 15 years old, the Israeli driver continues his progression by joining one of the most successful teams on the grid.

Elite Motorsport enters the new season with strong momentum after dominating the previous campaign. The team secured the GB4 Teams’ title by a commanding 210-point margin, while drivers Ary Bansal, Isaac Phelps and Alexandros Kattoulas finished first, second and fourth respectively. Furthermore, the trio amassed 22 podiums, including nine victories and 10 pole positions, underlining the team’s competitive strength.

Rapid rise through the ranks

Achituv only began karting in 2022; however, he quickly demonstrated his potential by finishing runner-up in the 2023 ROK Cup Junior Israel Karting Championship. He then transitioned to single-seaters in North America, where he continued to impress.

In 2024, despite contesting only the final six rounds, he secured 12th place in the Skip Barber Formula Race Series. Subsequently, he built on that experience in 2025 by finishing sixth in the YACademy Winter Series, scoring points in four of six races. He also claimed 14th in the final USF Juniors standings, further strengthening his racing credentials.

As a result, Achituv approaches his first full European campaign with valuable experience, even though he has yet to race on UK circuits.

Confidence high ahead of European debut

Achituv has already completed initial testing with Elite Motorsport and enters the season with optimism and clear ambitions: “I’m excited to announce that I’ll be racing with Elite Motorsport in the 2026 GB4 season. I’ve already had a couple of strong tests with the team and I am confident we can perform going into the season.

“I’ve felt really comfortable within the team and the environment, and it’s been a great place for me to grow. I’m ready to keep developing and pushing forward into next year. This will be my debut season racing in Europe, so I’m looking forward to the challenge of learning the UK tracks and adapting quickly. With Elite, I believe we can start strong and fight at the front throughout the season.”

Team Owner Eddie Ives also expressed confidence in the young driver’s ability to adapt and succeed: “We’re delighted to welcome Matan to Elite Motorsport for the 2026 GB4 season. He’s shown impressive speed and composure in testing, especially considering how new he is to European racing.

“His progression in the U.S. ladder has been rapid and it’s clear he has the work ethic and determination to make a strong impact in GB4. “This will be a big step for him but we’re confident he’ll adapt quickly and continue to build on the potential he’s already shown. As reigning Teams’ Champions, we’re excited to support his development and see what he can achieve in his first year racing in the UK.”

With strong backing from a championship-winning team and a clear trajectory of improvement, Achituv now prepares to take on the challenge of GB4 and establish himself on the European stage.
