Green promoted to double pole at 2026 GB4 Silverstone opener after Hilton disqualified

Following the conclusion of Qualifying at the Silverstone Circuit, Clerk of the Course decisions have significantly reshaped the 2026 GB4 Championship starting grids.

Luke Hilton and Franciszek Cegielski have both been disqualified from the results after being found to have failed to slow sufficiently when passing multiple yellow flag zones during Qualifying. As a result, all of their lap times from Qualifying have been deleted.

Both drivers will now start all three races this weekend from the back of the grid, subject to any further penalties. Consequently, the original Qualifying order has been revised, with Fred Green promoted to pole position for both Race 1 and Race 2.

The changes have had a major impact on both grids, reshuffling the competitive order and promoting several drivers into higher starting positions ahead of the season opener.
