The entire Formula E grid took the track for FP2 in Sanya for the 2026 E-Prix. Jaguar’s Mitch Evans leads the championship standings from Oliver Rowland and Edoardo Mortara. The Mahindra veteran was the fastest man on track yesterday during FP1, leading a session hindered by a red flag.
Mortara sets again the earliest quick benchmark, while Ticktum struggles as he rans over again a bump at the hairpin. Buemi then, after a lull in the session rhythm caused by some rain drops goes on top with over a second on the Italian-Swiss.
The Mahindra driver led again towards the end of the session, dropping into the 1:05s. Da Costa runs wide at the hairpin, with Wehrlein going faster in the final stages of the session
