The Formula 2 (F2) Sprint Race at the Hungarian GP saw Gabriele Minì on top of the podium, followed by Dino Beganovic and Laurens van Hoepen, view the full results below.

Sebastián Montoya started the F2 Sprint Race at the 2026 Hungarian GP from pole alongside Minì. Beganovic, Nikola Tsolov and Van Hoepen followed behind, while Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak lined up in P6.

At the start, Minì made the strongest launch, though Montoya stayed in the lead into Turn 1, as Minì had to defend from Tsolov behind. Meanwhile, Alex Dunne went wide as he tried to overtake, causing him to lose 2 positions. By the end of the opening lap, the order at the front was Montaya, Minì and Tsolov.

Minì took the lead from Montoya on Lap 17 after the PREMA driver locked up at Turn 1. Tsolov then closed in on Montoya, but contact during an attempted overtake forced both drivers to retire and triggered a Virtual Safety Car. Further back, Maini passed teammate Inthraphuvasak for P7, while León received a five-second penalty for a VSC infringement.

Minì remained in control to take victory in the Formula 2 Hungarian GP Sprint Race. Beganovic crossed the line in second, with Van Hoepen completing the podium. While championship leader Tsolov left the F2 Sprint Race at the 2026 Hungarian GP without points, meaning the gap in the standings shrunk.
