Alex O’Grady has opened a commanding lead in the 2026 GB4 Drivers’ Championship standings after taking two victories during a highly successful fifth round at Snetterton.
The KMR Sport driver leaves Norfolk on 321 points, extending his advantage over Fred Green from 25 to 70 points. Green remains second on 251 despite a difficult weekend that included two retirements, while Dayton Coulthard has climbed to third on 241 following three strong points finishes.
Thomas Ingram Hill sits only eight points behind Coulthard in fourth, with Enzo Hallman another point back in fifth. Meanwhile, Josh McLean’s victory in the chaotic reversed-grid finale has moved him closer to Pace Performance teammate Torrin Byrne in the battle further down the order.
O’Grady doubles up as Green suffers costly Snetterton round
O’Grady arrived at Snetterton with a 25-point advantage over Green after extending his championship lead during the previous Silverstone round. However, the title battle changed significantly across the opening two races in Norfolk.
Green started the weekend strongly by taking his fifth pole of the season in Qualifying, beating O’Grady by only 0.075s. O’Grady responded through the second-fastest-lap classification to secure pole for Race 2.
The pair then ran first and second throughout the opening stages of Race 1. Green appeared on course to reduce his deficit before suddenly slowing on Lap 7 and retiring from the lead. O’Grady inherited first and controlled the remainder of the race to win ahead of Byrne and Coulthard. The result immediately increased his championship advantage from 25 to 60 points.
O’Grady then strengthened his position further in Race 2. Starting from pole, he resisted race-long pressure from Green and crossed the line only 0.482s ahead of his title rival. His second victory of the weekend increased the gap to 66 points before the reversed-grid finale.
Both drivers encountered trouble in Race 3. Green sustained damage during Torrin Byrne’s opening-lap incident and retired, while O’Grady took avoiding action and recovered to 12th. Although the KMR Sport driver scored only modestly in the finale, Green’s retirement allowed him to leave Snetterton with a 70-point championship lead.
O’Grady scored 74 points during the weekend to move from 247 to 321. Green added only 29 and now sits on 251.
Coulthard climbs to third as Ingram Hill and Hallman close in
Coulthard has moved from fifth to third following one of his most consistent weekends of the season.
The Douglas Motorsport driver recovered from a difficult opening lap to finish third in Race 1 before taking fourth in Race 2. He repeated that result in the disrupted finale after climbing five positions from ninth on the reversed grid.
His 63-point haul takes him from 178 to 241 points, moving him ahead of both Hallman and absent former third-place driver Luke Hilton.
Ingram Hill also made significant progress and now sits fourth on 233 points. The Fortec Motorsports driver finished fourth in Race 1 before taking third behind O’Grady and Green in Race 2. He then gained another five positions to finish fifth in Race 3, adding 61 points across the weekend.
Hallman drops from fourth to fifth despite ending Snetterton with his strongest result of the round. The Hillspeed driver finished 10th in Race 1 and eighth in Race 2 before inheriting second in the finale after Connor Willis and John O’Donnell collided while fighting ahead of him.
He now has 232 points, leaving just nine points separating Coulthard in third, Ingram Hill in fourth and Hallman in fifth.
Hilton remains on the 205 points he held after Silverstone and consequently slips from third to sixth.
Byrne and McLean lead Pace Performance charge
Byrne remains seventh after collecting 46 points during the Snetterton round.
He delivered one of the strongest opening laps of Race 1, climbing from fifth to third before eventually finishing second behind O’Grady. Sixth followed in Race 2, but his weekend ended in the opening moments of Race 3 when contact at Wilson damaged his car before a deflating tyre sent him spinning across the circuit.
Byrne nevertheless moves from 152 to 198 points.
McLean sits only 13 points behind his teammate after becoming the winner of GB4’s 100th race. He scored points in both opening races before starting the reversed-grid finale from pole and leading every lap through two Safety Car periods and the eventual red flag.
His first victory of the season lifts him from 142 to 185 points and keeps him eighth in the standings.
Del Grosso climbs into ninth as Cegielski remains leading Rookie
Emmilio Valentino Del Grosso has moved from 12th to ninth after a productive weekend for Elite Motorsport.
The Venezuelan finished sixth in Race 1 and ninth in Race 2 before climbing from fifth to third in the shortened finale. His 46-point weekend takes him to 168 points.
Franciszek Cegielski remains the leading Rookie but drops one position to 10th. The Fortec driver finished fifth and 12th in the opening two contests before first-lap damage ended his Race 3. He now has 167 points, only one behind Del Grosso.
Matan Achituv moves to 162 points in 11th, while Willis sits 12th on 146 after his Race 3 ended through contact with O’Donnell while the pair fought for second.
Conor Grant has climbed from 14th to 13th on 109 points, with O’Donnell moving from 17th to 14th on 103. Romuald Bocquet rounds out the top 15 after his charge from 21st to eighth in Race 3 helped lift him to 100 points.

Pace Performance takes Teams’ Championship lead
Snetterton also produced a major change at the top of the Teams’ Championship.
Pace Performance entered the weekend third, seven points behind Hillspeed. Strong contributions from Byrne, McLean and O’Donnell helped the team score 96 points across the three races and move from 338 to 434.
McLean’s Race 3 victory provided the largest single result, while Byrne’s runner-up finish in Race 1 and sixth in Race 2 added further valuable points. O’Donnell also produced his strongest weekend of the campaign before his collision with Willis ended the finale.
Pace consequently takes the championship lead for the first time, six points clear of Fortec Motorsports.
Fortec and Hillspeed remain firmly in contention
Fortec has retained second after adding 89 points at Snetterton.
Ingram Hill scored strongly in all three races, while Cegielski contributed fifth place in Race 1 and points again in Race 2. Jordyn Martin also added to the team’s total despite receiving a five-second penalty in the finale. Fortec moves from 339 to 428 points.
Hillspeed drops from first to third but remains only 16 points away from the championship lead. Hallman’s Race 3 podium provided a valuable boost after his more modest opening two races, while Willis also scored before retiring from the finale.
The team added 73 points and now holds 418.
Douglas Motorsport sits another seven points behind in fourth after one of its strongest rounds of the season. Coulthard scored heavily in all three races, while Grant recovered from his difficult opening contest to finish fifth and sixth on Sunday. Douglas added 94 points and moves from 317 to 411.
Elite closes as KMR Sport remains sixth
Elite Motorsport remains fifth but has moved much closer to the teams ahead.
Despite Green’s two retirements, his Race 2 runner-up finish combined with strong contributions from Del Grosso and Achituv helped Elite add 97 points. The team now sits on 399, only 35 behind Pace Performance.
KMR Sport remains sixth on 392. O’Grady supplied the majority of its points through his two victories, while Watkins’ maiden top-10 finish in Race 3 and additional contributions from Holly Miall helped the team produce the largest Snetterton haul among the leading squads at 99 points.
Nitrous Competitions ADM Racing remains seventh on 283, followed by Scorpio Motorsport on 189. Arden Motorsport moves to 143, Fox Motorsport reaches 130 and Idola Motorsport remains on nine.

O’Grady takes commanding advantage into Donington Park
Snetterton has significantly changed the shape of the Drivers’ Championship with only two rounds remaining.
O’Grady entered the weekend 25 points clear of Green and leaves with a 70-point advantage after taking two victories while his rival suffered two retirements. Green retains second, but Coulthard has closed to within 10 points of him, while only nine points cover Coulthard, Ingram Hill and Hallman from third to fifth.
Further back, Byrne and McLean remain closely matched in seventh and eighth, while only six points cover Del Grosso, Cegielski and Achituv from ninth to 11th.
The Teams’ Championship remains considerably closer. Pace Performance has moved from third to first, but only 23 points separate the leading four teams and 42 cover Pace in first through KMR Sport in sixth.
GB4 returns to Donington Park for Round 6 from 3–6 September, before the 2026 season concludes at Brands Hatch later in the month.
