Deagen Fairclough earned his second Omologato One to Watch Award of the 2026 GB3 season after taking a perfect 70 points from the opening two races at Donington Park.
The Hitech driver won both Race 1 and Race 2, repeating the double victory he achieved at Silverstone in August. Those results gave him the highest possible score across Donington’s first two contests and secured his second consecutive One to Watch Award.
Fairclough’s latest success also continued a remarkable second-half run. He became only the second driver to claim multiple One to Watch honours this season, following championship leader Nikita Bedrin, who won the award at each of the opening four rounds.
Fairclough converts Donington pace into perfect score
Fairclough entered the Donington weekend with considerable momentum after dominating the pre-event test sessions, and he converted that pace into results once racing began.
He started Race 1 alongside Bedrin and passed the VRD Racing driver around the outside at Redgate before resisting repeated attacks to win by only 0.317s. The victory gave Fairclough the maximum Race 1 score and continued the form that had already delivered a double success at Silverstone.
He then started Race 2 from pole and controlled proceedings after Bedrin retired on the opening lap. Two Safety Car periods repeatedly removed the advantage he built, but Fairclough managed both restarts and eventually won by 2.120s. The two victories produced the maximum possible 70 points across the opening races.
Second consecutive double underlines Fairclough resurgence
Donington marked the second consecutive event in which Fairclough won both conventional-grid races. He had achieved the same result during the previous Silverstone round, meaning he has now claimed four victories across the opening two races of the past two meetings.
Only four double-win weekends have occurred across the first six rounds of the 2026 season. Bedrin achieved the feat at the opening Silverstone round and again at the Red Bull Ring, while Fairclough has now matched him through his latest Silverstone and Donington performances.
The sequence has also transformed Fairclough’s wider season. His opening rounds featured strong pace but inconsistent returns, while the second half has brought repeated victories and a rapid climb through the Drivers’ Championship.
Fairclough adds second Omologato One to Watch honour
The One to Watch Award recognises the highest-scoring driver across the first two races of each GB3 weekend. Omologato presents the accolade at every event, creating a separate measure of performance across the championship’s two conventional-grid contests.
Bedrin dominated the award early in the season. He took the opening Silverstone prize with 70 points before adding the Spa-Francorchamps and Hungaroring honours with 64 points at each event. Another perfect 70-point weekend at the Red Bull Ring gave him four consecutive awards.
Fairclough ended that run at the following Silverstone meeting, where his two victories produced 70 points. He has now repeated the achievement at Donington, giving him back-to-back awards and establishing a clear change in momentum during the second half of the campaign.

That shift mirrors their recent on-track form. Bedrin still leads the Drivers’ Championship after Donington, but Fairclough has become one of the strongest performers since the summer break and has now taken four victories across two consecutive rounds.
