As the 2026 F1 season is coming to a close in the next few weeks, take a look at the 2027 grid and the numbers the drivers will be using.

Earlier in the year, there was a lot of noise regarding Max Verstappen’s future at Red Bull Racing, with some reports of interest from McLaren and Mercedes. In the end, they were wide of the mark. The four-time World Champion agreed a new deal with his team. It has been rewarded with wins in Malaysia and Singapore.

Kimi Antonelli, on the verge of becoming F1 World Champion in 2026, will have to choose between #12 and #1 when he takes the crown. It is likely to happen in Mexico or Brazil, all being well.

The big story going into F1 2027 is continuity; 9 of the 11 teams will feature the same driver line-ups as 2026. Haas are the only team to have formally confirmed a change for next year as F2 points leader Rafael Câmara will replace Esteban Ocon. Ollie Bearman should be staying at the team alongside him.

The big question is about the Racing Bulls line-up. Arvid Lindblad is expected to stay following a good rookie season so far. As for his teammate, it will come down to Liam Lawson and Nikola Tsolov. The New Zealander is the best of the rest in the Drivers’ Championship behind the top four teams, while the Bulgarian is second in the F2 Championship.
