The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) standings have undergone significant changes following the inaugural 6 Hours of Barcelona, with Toyota Racing securing the Hypercar Manufacturers’ Championship and the remaining title battles moving towards a decisive season finale at Monza.
Toyota completed a commanding one-two finish as Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa secured victory in the No. 8 TR010 Hybrid ahead of teammates Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries. Therefore, the result confirmed Toyota’s eighth Manufacturers’ Championship and strengthened the No. 8 crew’s advantage in the Drivers’ standings.
Meanwhile, the LMGT3 championship remains undecided after The Bend Manthey claimed its first victory of the season. Yasser Shahin, Riccardo Pera and Richard Lietz reduced their deficit to championship leader Jonny Edgar, while fourth place for Racing Team Turkey by TF kept its Corvette crew in contention.
Thus, with seven of eight rounds complete, Toyota has secured the only championship title already decided. However, the remaining Drivers’ and LMGT3 honours will be contested at Monza on 6–8 November.
2026 WEC Hypercar Manufacturers’ standings after Round 7
Toyota entered Barcelona with 169 points and a 23-point advantage over BMW following its victory at Fuji. However, its dominant one-two finish in Spain added another 43 points, lifting the Japanese manufacturer to 212 and confirming the championship with one round remaining.
However, BMW endured a difficult weekend as neither M Hybrid V8 challenged for the podium. Seventh for the No. 15 crew and another points-free race for the No. 20 brought the manufacturer’s total to 154, leaving it 58 points behind Toyota. Therefore, with a maximum of 44 Manufacturers’ Championship points available at Monza, BMW can no longer overturn the deficit.
Ferrari remains third after Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen secured the final Hypercar podium position. The No. 50 Ferrari’s result added 15 points, increasing the manufacturer’s total from 115 to 130. However, Ferrari now trails BMW by 24 points, leaving second place in the championship as its remaining objective.
Cadillac made significant progress after finishing fourth and sixth with its two V-Series.R entries. Therefore, the American manufacturer collected 22 points, moving from 96 to 118 and reclaiming fourth from Alpine, which added eight points to reach 104.
Aston Martin remains sixth with 58 points after adding four, while Peugeot failed to score and stays seventh on 24. Genesis completes the standings on 14 points, having gained two over the weekend, including the bonus for Mathys Jaubert’s historic pole position.
Standings:
- Toyota — 212 pts
- BMW — 154 pts
- Ferrari — 130 pts
- Cadillac — 118 pts
- Alpine — 104 pts
- Aston Martin — 58 pts
- Peugeot — 24 pts
- Genesis — 14 pts
Toyota therefore leaves Barcelona with a 58-point advantage and its fifth Manufacturers’ Championship during the Hypercar era. The title also marks a significant recovery from 2025, when the Japanese manufacturer struggled to maintain the competitiveness that had previously established it as the championship benchmark.
Although the championship has been decided, the battle behind Toyota remains open. Ferrari’s podium reduced its deficit to BMW, while Cadillac’s double points finish moved it 14 clear of Alpine. With 44 points still available at Monza, the final race could produce further changes throughout the manufacturers’ classification.
2026 WEC Hypercar Drivers’ standings after Round 7
The Hypercar Drivers’ Championship will be decided exclusively between Toyota’s two crews after Barcelona, with Buemi, Hartley and Hirakawa extending their advantage through a second consecutive victory.
The No. 8 trio entered the weekend with 89 points and a ten-point lead over its teammates. Victory added 25 points, taking the crew to 114 and increasing its advantage to 17. The result also marked its third win of the season, continuing the momentum established through its dramatic Fuji victory.
Conway, Kobayashi and de Vries secured second in the No. 7 Toyota, adding 18 points to move from 79 to 97. Although the crew could not challenge its teammates for victory during the closing stages, the result strengthened its position in second and ensured that Toyota will secure both Hypercar world championship titles.
BMW’s Kevin Magnussen and Raffaele Marciello move from fourth to third after finishing seventh in the No. 15 car. Their six-point gain takes them to 75, level with René Rast and Robin Frijns, who failed to score for the third consecutive round in the No. 20 BMW.
Dries Vanthoor follows on 69, sharing fifth on points with Ferrari’s Fuoco, Molina and Nielsen. The Ferrari trio made one of the largest gains among the leading drivers, collecting 15 points to climb from ninth to sixth in the classification.
Meanwhile, Sheldon van der Linde drops to seventh on 65, while the No. 51 Ferrari crew of Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi falls to eighth after failing to score. Norman Nato and Will Stevens move into ninth for Cadillac on 58, with Alpine’s Charles Milesi and Ferdinand Habsburg completing the top ten on 57.
Standings:
- Sébastien Buemi / Brendon Hartley / Ryō Hirakawa — Toyota #8 — 114 pts
- Mike Conway / Kamui Kobayashi / Nyck de Vries — Toyota #7 — 97 pts
- Kevin Magnussen / Raffaele Marciello — BMW #15 — 75 pts

- Frédéric Makowiecki — Alpine #36 — 14 pts
- Loïc Duval / Malthe Jakobsen / Théo Pourchaire — Peugeot #94 — 12 pts
- André Lotterer / Pipo Derani / Mathys Jaubert — Genesis #17 — 11 pts

- Dani Juncadella / Mathieu Jaminet / Paul-Loup Chatin — Genesis #19 — 0 pts
- Alex Quinn — Peugeot #93 — 0 pts
- Roman De Angelis — Aston Martin #009 — 0 pts
The results leave only Buemi, Hartley, Hirakawa, Conway, Kobayashi and de Vries in contention for the Drivers’ Championship. With 26 points available at Monza, including the bonus point for Hyperpole, the No. 7 Toyota crew can still overcome its teammates’ 17-point advantage.
However, the No. 8 crew enters the finale in a considerably stronger position after recording victories at Fuji and Barcelona. Its advantage has grown from ten to 17 points, while BMW’s Rast and Frijns have dropped from joint championship leaders before Fuji to fourth following three consecutive races without points.
The standings also demonstrate the different participation records of several drivers, with teammates classified separately when they have not contested the same rounds. This affects BMW, Cadillac, Peugeot and Alpine, among others, and explains why drivers sharing the same car can appear in different championship positions.
2026 WEC LMGT3 Teams’ standings after Round 7
TF Sport remains at the top of the LMGT3 Teams’ Championship, although its advantage has decreased considerably following a difficult Barcelona race for the No. 33 Corvette.
The championship leader entered the weekend with 86 points and a 24-point advantage over the No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin. However, seventh place added just six points, increasing TF Sport’s total to 92 and allowing several rivals to close the gap.
The biggest improvement came from The Bend Manthey, which secured Porsche’s first LMGT3 victory of 2026. The No. 92 crew collected 25 points to move from 49 to 74, climbing from seventh to second and reducing its deficit to the championship leader to 18 points.
Racing Team Turkey by TF remains third after finishing fourth in Spain. The No. 34 Corvette added 12 points, lifting its total from 58 to 70 and placing it four behind Manthey. Meanwhile, the No. 69 Team WRT BMW climbs from sixth to fourth after securing third in LMGT3, increasing its total to 66.
VISTA AF Corse’s No. 21 Ferrari moves to fifth with 64 points following another top-five result, while the No. 27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin falls from second to sixth after failing to score. The Aston Martin remains on 62, having lost considerable ground after its two consecutive podium finishes at Circuit of The Americas and Fuji.
Garage 59 also made significant progress after finishing second and securing the Hyperpole bonus point. The No. 10 McLaren added 19 points to climb from 38 to 57, moving from 11th to seventh in the standings.
Standings:
- Corvette #33 — TF Sport — 92 pts
- Porsche #92 — The Bend Manthey — 74 pts
- Corvette #34 — Racing Team Turkey by TF — 70 pts
- BMW #69 — Team WRT — 66 pts
- Ferrari #21 — VISTA AF Corse — 64 pts
- Aston Martin #27 — Heart of Racing Team — 62 pts
- McLaren #10 — Garage 59 — 57 pts
- Porsche #91 — Manthey DK Engineering — 54 pts
- Aston Martin #23 — Heart of Racing Team — 51 pts
- BMW #32 — Team WRT — 48 pts
- Lexus #78 — Akkodis ASP Team — 39 pts
- Lexus #87 — Akkodis ASP Team — 38 pts
- Mercedes-AMG #61 — Iron Lynx — 25 pts
- McLaren #58 — Garage 59 — 22 pts
- Ford #88 — Proton Competition — 16 pts
- Ferrari #54 — VISTA AF Corse — 13 pts
- Ford #77 — Proton Competition — 13 pts
- Mercedes-AMG #79 — Iron Lynx — 10 pts
TF Sport’s championship advantage has therefore fallen from 24 to 18 points, while the identity of its closest challenger has changed for the second consecutive round. Heart of Racing moved into second following Fuji, but Manthey’s victory has now established the Porsche squad as the leading challenger.
The No. 34 Corvette also remains firmly involved, sitting 22 points behind its sister TF Sport entry with 26 available at Monza. Meanwhile, Team WRT’s No. 69 BMW could draw level with the leading Corvette on points if it secures the maximum score and TF Sport fails to add to its total, although any tie would depend on the championship’s countback criteria.
Further down the order, Garage 59’s podium and Hyperpole bonus have lifted the No. 10 McLaren ahead of the sister Manthey Porsche. Iron Lynx also made progress, with both Mercedes-AMG entries gaining points after their top-ten finishes.
2026 WEC LMGT3 Drivers’ standings after Round 7
Jonny Edgar retains the LMGT3 Drivers’ Championship lead following Barcelona, although the TF Sport driver’s advantage has been reduced substantially after his crew finished seventh.
Edgar entered the weekend with 86 points and collected another six to reach 92. Teammate Nicky Catsburg remains second after moving from 82 to 88, with the four-point difference reflecting his absence from São Paulo earlier in the season.
However, the biggest change immediately behind the Corvette drivers comes from the No. 92 The Bend Manthey crew. Shahin, Pera and Lietz added 25 points for victory, climbing from ninth to third with 74 and moving ahead of several established championship contenders.
Racing Team Turkey’s Charlie Eastwood, Peter Dempsey and Salih Yoluç follow in fourth after adding 12 points, increasing their total from 58 to 70. They sit level on points with Ben Keating, who also added six through the No. 33 Corvette’s seventh-place result.
The No. 69 Team WRT trio of Anthony McIntosh, Daniel Harper and Parker Thompson moves to sixth after collecting 15 points for third in Barcelona. The BMW drivers now hold 66, while VISTA AF Corse’s Alessio Rovera, François Hériau and Simon Mann follow on 64 after adding ten.
Heart of Racing’s Ian James, Mattia Drudi and Zacharie Robichon drop from fourth to eighth, remaining on 62 after a difficult race. Meanwhile, Antares Au, Marvin Kirchhöfer and Tom Fleming make a considerable improvement, climbing from 14th to ninth on 57 points after their podium and Hyperpole success.
Standings:
- Jonny Edgar — Corvette #33 — 92 pts
- Nicky Catsburg — Corvette #33 — 88 pts
- Riccardo Pera / Richard Lietz / Yasser Shahin — Porsche #92 — 74 pts
- Charlie Eastwood / Peter Dempsey / Salih Yoluç — Corvette #34 — 70 pts
- Ben Keating — Corvette #33 — 70 pts
- Anthony McIntosh / Daniel Harper / Parker Thompson — BMW #69 — 66 pts
- Alessio Rovera / François Hériau / Simon Mann — Ferrari #21 — 64 pts

- Jack Hawksworth — Lexus #78 — 36 pts
- Martin Berry / Maxime Martin / Rui Andrade — Mercedes-AMG #61 — 25 pts
- Blake McDonald — Corvette #33 — 22 pts
- Alexander West / Benjamin Goethe / Finn Gehrsitz — McLaren #58 — 22 pts
- Giammarco Levorato / Logan Sargeant / Stefano Gattuso — Ford #88 — 16 pts
- Davide Rigon / Francesco Castellacci / Thomas Flohr — Ferrari #54 — 13 pts
- Ben Tuck / Eric Powell / Sebastian Priaulx — Ford #77 — 13 pts
- Johannes Zelger / Lin Hodenius / Matteo Cressoni — Mercedes-AMG #79 — 10 pts
- Nicolás Varrone — Corvette #33 — 4 pts
- Esteban Masson — Lexus #78 — 3 pts
- Kobe Pauwels — Aston Martin #23 — 3 pts
Edgar therefore enters the season finale with an 18-point advantage over the Barcelona-winning Manthey crew, while Racing Team Turkey sits another four points behind. However, the championship remains open with 26 points available at Monza, ensuring that the final round will determine the LMGT3 Drivers’ title.
The most significant movement came from Manthey, whose victory lifted Shahin, Pera and Lietz six places in the standings. Garage 59’s Au, Kirchhöfer and Fleming also climbed five positions after their second-place finish, while the No. 69 BMW crew moved closer to the leading group.
Barcelona has therefore produced two contrasting championship outcomes. Toyota has secured the Hypercar Manufacturers’ title, while its two crews will contest the Drivers’ Championship in an internal battle at Monza. In LMGT3, Edgar retains the advantage, but Manthey’s victory and Racing Team Turkey’s consistency have ensured that the fight remains open.
The 2026 FIA WEC season concludes with the 6 Hours of Monza on 6–8 November, where the remaining Drivers’, LMGT3 Teams’ and LMGT3 Drivers’ championships will be decided.
