Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic reinforced his grip on the 2025 GB3 Championship partnered by the BRDC with a commanding lights-to-flag victory in the opening race at Silverstone. Starting from pole, the Australian never looked threatened as he claimed his fourth win of the season, extending his championship lead in style.

Perfect launch, perfect control

Ninovic made the getaway count, converting pole into an early lead. He quickly settled into rhythm, keeping his closest rivals at arm’s length in the opening laps. With the scrap behind him intensifying, Ninovic steadily extended his advantage and crossed the finish line almost five seconds clear, a statement win that underlined his authority at the front.

The contest for second and third proved far more frenetic. Reza Seewooruthun initially held second from his front-row start but soon came under pressure from Gianmarco Pradel, who had jumped Deagen Fairclough off the line to run third. On lap four, Pradel dived past at Vale, with Fairclough attempting to snatch both positions in a daring move around the outside at Club.

Pradel clung on to second, Fairclough grabbed third, and Seewooruthun was left vulnerable. A brush of contact with Fairclough damaged the Argenti with Prema driver’s front wing, forcing him to pit and retire shortly afterwards.

Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari, who had been running sixth behind Patrick Heuzenroeder, seized the opportunity. After dispatching the Xcel driver, he inherited fourth when Seewooruthun dropped back. Al Azhari then closed rapidly on Fairclough, executing a bold move at Luffield to secure third place. From there, he attacked Pradel for second but, despite relentless pressure, the Rodin driver defended smartly to secure the runner-up spot.

Midfield movers

Fairclough finished just outside the podium in fourth, while Will Macintyre kept the leaders honest in fifth, running out of laps to join the rostrum fight. Heuzenroeder settled for sixth, ahead of Yuanpu Cui, who delivered a steady run to seventh for Hillspeed.

Behind them, Enzo Tarnvanichkul took eighth, with Kai Daryanani pulling off a late move at Stowe to secure ninth. Lucas Fluxa edged past Abbi Pulling on the penultimate lap to snatch tenth, denying the Rodin driver a top-10 finish despite her strong climb from 12th on the grid.

Early drama

The race distance was shortened after a delayed start, triggered by issues for both Yevan David and Noah Lisle on the grid. While David eventually joined the action from the pit lane, Lisle was unable to take part. Further misfortune struck Patricio Gonzalez, who retired early, and Seewooruthun, whose front wing damage curtailed his strong opening laps.
