Hillspeed has officially named highly rated German teenager Maxim Rehm as its second driver for the 2025 GB3 Championship season finale at Monza on 18–19 October. The 18-year-old from Baden-Württemberg will partner GB3 race winner Lucas Fluxa for rounds 22–24. Consequently, the late-season call-up places Rehm in front-running machinery at a circuit that typically rewards his style. Moreover, the move strengthens Hillspeed’s multi-car threat after a season featuring multiple victories.

From karting laurels to single-seater momentum

Rehm claimed five titles in a decorated karting career and stepped into cars last year in Italian Formula 4, while also contesting Euro 4 and the Formula Winter Series. First, he took a rookie-class podium on debut at Jerez in February 2024; then, one week later at Valencia, he captured his first rookie-class victory. Subsequently, he sealed his maiden outright Italian F4 podium at Imola and finished 13th overall. Meanwhile, he ended Euro 4 in sixth and earned his first outright car-racing win in the final race—at Monza. This year, he won again at Valencia in the Formula Winter Series en route to fifth overall; additionally, in a second Italian F4 season he achieved a best finish of fourth.

Monza magnifies slipstream craft, braking precision, and restart discipline. Therefore, Rehm’s composure under pressure and prior success at the venue suggest a fast adaptation to GB3’s higher downforce and larger tyre footprint. Furthermore, pairing him with the in-form Fluxa widens Hillspeed’s set-up range and strategic flexibility in qualifying and the races.

Speaking ahead of his debut, Rehm said: “I’m really happy to be racing with Hillspeed for the Monza weekend. It’s always been a successful track for me and I’m fully focused on making the most of this opportunity. Big thanks to Richard and the whole team for making it happen – I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel and give it everything.”

Hillspeed confident that a strong weekend awaits

Explaining the signing and outlining expectations, Team Principal Richard Ollerenshaw emphasised talent and readiness: “We’re very pleased to officially confirm Maxim as part of our driver line-up for the GB3 season finale at Monza. He’s a talented young driver, with good experience of F4 in Europe. While the step-up to GB3 does mark a big new challenge for him, we’re confident Maxim has the ability hit the ground running and deliver a strong showing on his first weekend with Hillspeed.”
