Hitech TGR’s Luke Browning currently sits in 3rd place in the 2025 F2 Championship. With Qatar marking the penultimate round of the season, only two weekends remain for the Brit to close the gap and strengthen his claim to the title. After completing six rounds with ART Grand Prix last year, 2025 marks Browning’s first full F2 campaign, and his first full season with Hitech, where he has quickly established himself as a title contender.

The final stretch of the F2 Championship

Following a two-month break from racing, Browning stated that it is “nice to be back”. As the final two rounds get underway, his season has proved strong enough to place him firmly in the F2 Championship battle — something he said he has enjoyed. Hitech has worked hard to ensure points finishes are consistently achievable, and the Teams’ Championship now appears within reach thanks to the collective efforts of Browning and teammate, Dino Beganovic.

“It has been a long break, so it’s nice to be back. I’m ready, I think it’s the way to put it. I can’t wait, I am excited. I am looking forward to getting these final two rounds underway. It’s exciting to have this opportunity, and I am going to enjoy fighting for the title. Hitech have done a fantastic job, especially over the past few weekends, between me and Dino, we have scored some very good points, and it has put us in a good place in the Teams’ Championship.

The Brit acknowledged Hitech’s strength at the F2 round in Qatar in 2024, giving the team a clear benchmark for where they should be this year. Browning noted that “it will be all about executing”. He is also aware of the challenges that come with fighting for the F2 Championship and remains focused on keeping everything under control while doing his job.

“The team were very strong here last year, so we know where we should be, so it will be all about executing. But as we know, it’s not easy this Championship, so trying to keep everything under control and just doing our job will be the main thing, and then see what happens.”

The goal remains to win in Formula 2

The ultimate goal for Hitech and Browning is to win. Despite this, they understand there are sensible ways to approach the fight without “throwing everything at the wall at this point”. With two rounds remaining, every point will matter in the Championship battle.

“There’s one goal, to win. But equally, there is ways to go about it. It doesn’t mean throwing everything at the wall at this point, it’s just trying to score the most amount of points over the next two weekends. That just maximising what we’ve got, maximising myself and hopefully when we get to that end race in Abu Dhabi it will be enough.

Browning acknowledged that both he and Hitech are prepared to fight for the 2025 F2 Championship title. They know who their rivals are and understand the challenge ahead. To remain in fight, however, team and driver must ensure their championship rivals do not get past. After qualifying only P18, Browning faces a difficult task — but both he and Hitech are “ready to fight”.

“But we are well prepared. We are ready to fight but we are just going to take it like any other two rounds. We know who we are fighting against, so it will be about not letting these guys past and trying to score more points than them.”
