Alba Larsen will make her return for a second campaign in F1 Academy. The Danish driver will represent Ferrari for the 2026 season.

The 16-year-old racer had a solid rookie season, securing seven top-five results, with her best performance being P4. She finished the campaign seventh in the standings. Larsen was leading in Las Vegas before a brush with the wall at the end of the opening green flag lap sent her into retirement because of suspension damage.

Alongside F1 Academy, she will partake in the F4 UAE Championship over the winter, and will be competing in British F4 again next season.

Speaking about the chance to represent the Scuderia team, Larsen stated:

“Racing for Ferrari in F1 ACADEMY is a dream come true. They’ve been my favourite team since I was a child and getting to wear red feels surreal and is an incredible honour. I’ve felt their support since FIA Girls on Track and now being part of the most iconic team in motorsport is a true honour. I’m ready to give everything I have for the Scuderia. Bet on red!”

Her journey to this point

The Dane has been a part of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy since August. In her second F1 Academy campaign, she will hope to build on her strong rookie season and secure a podium in the near future.

Prior to F1 Academy, Larsen was selected for the 2023 FIA Girls On Track Rising Stars Programme. She made two appearances in the 2024 Indian F4 Championship before moving onto the F4 British Championship in 2025. This year she also made her F1 Academy debut, partnering with Tommy Hilfiger. Ending the season 70 points makes it a solid rookie campaign. The young racer has been mentored by former F1 Driver, and fellow Dane, Kevin Magnussen.

In 2026, she gets to fulfill her dream of representing Scuderia Ferrari. Her second campaign will have her chase a podium with the prancing horse.
