PREMA Racing has confirmed a significant new partnership with Palou Motorsport ahead of the 2026 Eurocup-3 Championship, marking an important collaboration as the series prepares to enter a new technical era. Therefore, the agreement will see PREMA provide extensive engineering and technical support to the Spanish outfit throughout the season.

This alliance brings together one of the most successful teams in junior single-seater racing with a young squad that has already shown strong potential since its formation.

Strengthening Palou Motorsport’s technical foundations

Founded in 2023 by four-time IndyCar champion Alex Palou and his father Ramon, Palou Motorsport has progressed rapidly within the Eurocup-3 paddock. The team has already achieved multiple podium finishes and secured its maiden victory earlier this year, demonstrating clear upward momentum.

Through this partnership, Palou Motorsport will benefit from PREMA’s expertise across several key areas. These include access to the PREMA Simulator, advanced technical tools and engineering support designed to accelerate performance and development across the season. Crucially, the collaboration aims to help Palou Motorsport take the next step towards establishing itself as a leading force in the championship.

A new technical era for Eurocup-3

The timing of the partnership aligns with a major shift for Eurocup-3. From 2026, the championship will introduce the new Toyota-powered Dallara 326 chassis, ushering in a fresh chapter focused on innovation and performance.

PREMA has embraced the challenge of the new regulations and has already turned its attention to the opening round of the season, which will take place on the first weekend of May at Circuit Paul Ricard. As a result, the partnership positions both teams to approach the new era with strong preparation and shared technical ambition.

PREMA and Palou Motorsport enthusiastic ahead of collaboration

PREMA Racing Team Principal Rene Rosin underlined the mutual respect and long-term intent behind the collaboration.

“We are happy to partner with Alex and Ramon Palou for this programme. They have been growing a lot as a team, and our goal is to support them as they enter the new era of Eurocup-3 with the goal of becoming top contenders. We have extreme respect for what Alex and Ramon have accomplished so far, and we can’t wait to see where this collaboration will take us.”

Ramon Palou also highlighted the importance of the partnership for a young and ambitious team.

“I’m really happy and excited about the collaboration we’ve just started with Prema Racing. I couldn’t imagine a better partner to help us develop the new car we’ll be using in Eurocup-3 from 2026 onward. For a young structure like Palou Motorsport, having the support of one of the world’s leading single-seater teams is something truly extraordinary.I want to personally thank both Angelina and Rene for the effort they’ve put into making this collaboration a reality.”

As Eurocup-3 evolves with new machinery and increasing competition, the partnership between PREMA Racing and Palou Motorsport sets a clear statement of intent. Therefore, by combining PREMA’s proven technical excellence with Palou Motorsport’s rapid growth and ambition, both teams aim to maximise the opportunities presented by the new regulations.

With preparations already underway for the season opener at Circuit Paul Ricard, the collaboration promises to play a key role in shaping Palou Motorsport’s next phase in European single-seater racing.
