McLaren have unveiled their striking 2026 F1 Academy liveries, with Ella Lloyd and Ella Stevens set to represent the papaya squad in style this season.
Returning for her second campaign in the all-female championship, 20-year-old Welsh driver Lloyd continues her journey with McLaren after a promising rookie year. Before stepping up to F1 Academy, Lloyd enjoyed success in British junior single-seater competition. She consistently battled at the front of the field and showcased impressive race craft and composure under pressure.
Her 2025 season in F1 Academy provided valuable experience against one of the most competitive grids in female single-seater racing. Regularly fighting in the midfield pack and gaining confidence across race weekends, Lloyd laid important foundations for her second year in the series.
“I’m really excited to start my second season in F1 Academy with McLaren,” said Lloyd. “The livery looks fantastic, and it’s always a privilege to race in a papaya car.”
Lloyd’s 2026 F1 Academy livery retains McLaren’s iconic papaya base, a colour synonymous with the team’s rich motorsport heritage. It blends tradition with a sharp, modern edge as Lloyd looks to build on last year’s experience.
Stevens making her F1 Academy debut as the McLaren Oxagon entry

Alongside her, Stevens will make her F1 Academy debut as the McLaren Oxagon entry. The British driver steps up to the championship determined to prove herself on the international stage. She has steadily built experience through the junior ranks.
Her promotion represents a significant milestone in her development. With the backing of McLaren and increased global visibility that comes with the series, Stevens now faces the challenge of converting potential into performance against a highly talented grid.
“It’s an honour to be the F1 Academy McLaren Oxagon entry for the team,” said Stevens. “The vivid blue on the car alongside the iconic papaya looks really cool. Seeing it has made me even more excited for my first-ever season in F1 Academy.”
Stevens’ livery features a vivid blue accent alongside McLaren’s signature papaya, creating a bold contrast that reflects both the team’s identity and the fresh energy she brings to the grid.
