Chloe Chambers has kicked off her second and final year in F1 Academy with a strong run of results, currently sitting P2 in the 2025 Drivers’ Standings. In addition to her on-track success, she has also joined the Red Bull Ford Academy Programme in 2025, marking a significant step forward in her racing career. With 89 points and more recently a race win in Montreal, Chambers is on track to be a Championship contender for 2025.

Double podium finish in China

Chambers opened her 2025 F1 Academy campaign on a strong note in China. She emerged as one of the front-runners in the morning practice session and carried that momentum into Qualifying, securing P4, one spot ahead of her teammate, Alisha Palmowski. For Saturday’s race, the top eight reversal placed Palmowski and Chambers in P4 and P5 respectively. Despite three safety car periods disrupting the action, Chambers carved her way through the field, charging up to P2 behind Palmowski, who claimed the win.

Race 2 featured last-minute changes as race control switched to a rolling start after three formation laps, following an earlier incident in another category. The race distance was cut to 11 laps. A three-car collision on the opening lap triggered a safety car, with Chambers running P4 when the race resumed on Lap 4. On Lap 8, she battled closely with Alba Larsen and eventually pulled off a decisive move to claim her second podium of the weekend. Chambers ended Round 1 with 24 points, placing her third in the 2025 F1 Academy Drivers’ Standings.

More points secured in Saudi Arabia

Chambers came out flying in Jeddah, showcasing her speed in Qualifying. She stormed to pole position, over two-tenths clear of Doriane Pin in P2. Starting Race 1 from P8 due to the reverse grid format, Chambers fought to make progress in the scorching heat. Despite the challenging conditions, she gained one position and pushed to the end, ultimately crossing the line in P7.

In Sunday’s Race 2, Chambers launched from the front row and led the field through the opening lap. Maya Weug quickly applied pressure and passed her down the straight, but Chambers fought back with a move that appeared to occur off track. Race control responded by issuing her a 5-second time penalty. Her relentless pace carried her across the finish line in P1, but the penalty demoted her to P2 in the final classification. She closed out the Round 2 holding P3 in the 2025 F1 Academy Drivers’ Standings, now sitting on 47 points.

Podium consistency continues in Miami

Miami broke from tradition with two practice sessions on Friday instead of the usual one and all three Campos drivers quickly found their rhythm. On Saturday morning, dark clouds gathered as Qualifying got underway. Chambers and Palmowski headed out early, just in time before the rain began to fall. Chambers snatched pole position, and as the downpour intensified, no one else managed to challenge her time.

In the afternoon’s reverse grid race, Chambers started from P8, alongside teammate Palmowski. She immediately launched forward, climbing to P4 on the opening lap before a lap 1 incident brought out the safety car. Racing resumed on lap 3. Chambers made a lunge for Nobels, which moved her into the podium position.

Sunday’s race did not go ahead due to the adverse wet weather. They ran behind the safety car for several laps, but there were several drivers who spun out on safety car conditions. Race control deemed the race a red flag and cancelled the race soonafter.

Chambers maintained P3 in the 2025 F1 Academy Drivers’ Standings, with her total at the conclusion of Miami at 53 points.

Race 3 win in Canada

Chambers continued to show her incredible pace in Canada, leading the Qualifying session 3 tenths ahead of teammate Palmowski, which placed her on the front row in Race 3.

Race 1 on Saturday acted as the replacement for the missed race in Miami, placing Chambers on the front row alongside her teammate Palmowski. Chambers nailed the start and took the early lead, but a few laps in, Palmowski attempted a risky move that backfired. She locked up on entry and collided with Chambers, spinning herself around and damaging Chambers’ front wing. Despite the damage, Chambers pressed on until race control issued a Black and Orange flag, forcing her to pit for repairs. The unscheduled stop dropped her deep in the field, and she ultimately crossed the line in P8.

Chambers had no luck in Race 2, where a risky move saw her into the run-off area and tumble down to P14.

In Race 3, Chambers held her own off the line, excelling at the front of the grid. With contact between Wild Card Mathida Paatz and Avia Angnostiadis at the conclusion of lap 1, a safety car was deployed. When green flag conditions prevailed in Lap 8, Chambers made the most of the restart and put space between her and Ella Lloyd. There was 2 more safety cars that appeared in the race, but with the Race approaching the 30-minute mark and under safety car conditions, Chambers took the chequered flag and secured her first P1 of the 2025 F1 Academy season.

What’s next for her season?

Chambers has scored points at every round of the F1 Academy season so far. With 2025 marking her final year in the category, she’s determined to close the gap to current championship leader Doriane Pin, who sits 20 points ahead with 109. Winning the 2025 title would guarantee fully funded support for the next step in her racing career, an opportunity Chambers is pushing hard to secure.
