Tina Hausmann has entered her second year in F1 Academy with measured confidence and growing purpose. Representing PREMA Racing and competing as part of the Aston Martin F1 Driver Development Programme, the Swiss racer has steadily carved out a strong midfield presence in the 2025 season. After finishing 10th in the 2024 standings with 31 points, she has already surpassed that total midway through this campaign, currently sitting 7th with 36 points. Through four rounds, her performances have reflected a driver steadily improving with each race, showcasing her racecraft and consistency.

A steady but quiet start in Shanghai

The opening round in Shanghai presented a subdued start to Hausmann’s 2025 F1 Academy campaign. Finishing P13 and P15 in Races 1 and 2 respectively, she was unable to make an impact on the points-paying positions. However, she maintained a clean run through both outings, avoiding major incidents in what proved to be a race weekend marked by unpredictability and mechanical retirements. While the results did not immediately reflect progress, the foundation of a more composed and experienced driver was already visible.

A breakthrough performance in Jeddah

In stark contrast, the second 2025 F1 Academy round in Jeddah marked a significant turning point for Hausmann. She delivered back-to-back P6 finishes, marking her first points haul of 2025. Across both races, she demonstrated sharp judgement under pressure and the ability to defend confidently in tight midfield battles. Her positioning, particularly through the narrow sections of the circuit, showed noticeable improvement over her rookie year. These results not only propelled her up the standings but also established her as a regular contender inside the top ten.

Holding ground in Miami

The momentum from Jeddah carried over to the 2025 F1 Academy Miami round, where Hausmann secured a solid P7 in Race 1. Her ability to maintain pace amid a chaotic midfield – where several drivers lost control or suffered contact – once again proved critical. Unfortunately, Race 2 was cancelled due to weather conditions, denying her the opportunity to potentially build on her performance. Nonetheless, her clean execution and situational awareness added to her growing reputation as one of the most dependable drivers on the grid.

Peak of the season so far in Montreal

The strongest weekend of Hausmann’s 2025 F1 Academy season came in Montreal. She began with P6 in Race 1 and P7 in Race 2, both achieved through consistent race pace and smart decision-making in high-pressure scenarios. In Race 3, she delivered her most impressive performance yet, finishing P4 after running in podium contention for much of the event. Although she ultimately missed out on her first F1 Academy podium, her performance highlighted a leap in confidence and competitiveness. She defended tenaciously, timed her overtakes well, and capitalised on the misfortunes of others without overextending herself.

Maturity and midfield strength

Throughout the first four rounds, Hausmann has not shown the erratic highs and lows of some of her 2025 F1 Academy competitors. Instead, she has quietly and methodically climbed the order, delivering consistent point-scoring results. Her performances reflect a maturing driver who understands the rhythm of a championship campaign. With PREMA’s solid support and the backing of the AMF1 Driver Development Programme, she continues to grow as a steady midfield anchor – one capable of fighting at the front under the right circumstances.

Looking ahead

With 36 points already secured and a firm hold on 7th in the 2025 F1 Academy championship, Hausmann appears poised to improve further as the season progresses. If she continues her current trajectory, a maiden podium may no longer be a question of if, but when. Her discipline, consistency, and adaptability have become her greatest assets – all qualities that will serve her well as the second half of the season unfolds.
