Alex Ninovic has been crowned the 2025 GB3 Champion after securing the title earlier at Donington Park, before rounding off the season with another strong performance at the iconic Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The young Australian reflected on his championship-winning year, his final race, and the emotions that came with closing such a defining chapter in his career.
An intense but enjoyable finale
Reflecting on the final race, Ninovic described it as one of the most enjoyable rounds of the entire season. Despite starting outside the top ten and encountering several challenges early on, he demonstrated trademark composure and pace to climb through the field.
“Yeah, it was definitely probably one of the more enjoyable races of the season, having no pressure on, and then starting from 12th, actually dropping back quite a lot with a few incidents with cars around me, and then fighting back to 7th in the end was really, really nice. The car felt amazing and I just did the best job I could.”
Confidence for the future
After a season filled with podiums and victories, Ninovic admitted that his confidence has only grown stronger heading into the next stage of his racing journey. He reflected on the team’s late-season surge in form, crediting their pace and consistency for keeping them at the front.
“Yeah, definitely. All year we’ve been fast and just in the last four or five rounds, the pace has just been abundant, really. You can’t not be at the front, so yeah, I’m really confident and looking forward to the steps ahead.”
A dream finish at Monza
Although the championship was already his, Ninovic admitted that ending the season at Monza carried special meaning. The combination of family, supporters, and the historic setting made the weekend a memorable one.
“Yeah, definitely. To finish the championship here at Monza is amazing and to finish on a day like today with great results and obviously just family, friends and supporters all around, it’s definitely a nice feeling.”
When asked about his plans for the evening, Ninovic smiled and revealed that celebrations would remain intimate, spent with those closest to him.
“I think we’ll go out for dinner with a few of our family friends from back home in Australia, so yeah, that’ll be nice.”
A champion’s year to remember
In the end, Alex Ninovic’s 2025 GB3 campaign will be remembered for its blend of speed, consistency, and calm professionalism. From comeback drives to dominant weekends, he proved himself one of the most complete drivers on the grid.
As the sun set over Monza, the new GB3 Champion reflected not just on a season of success, but on the solid foundation he and his team have built. With confidence high and momentum on his side, Ninovic now turns his attention to the next chapter of his racing journey — one that looks increasingly bright.
