Max Taylor was favourite for pole once again as he was fastest in Practice 1 and Practice 2. Teammates Seb Murray and Lochie Hughes backed him up in the last session. Impressive rookie Tymek Kucharczyk was P4, 0.001s slower than the Aussie. Despite a crash late in the session, Myles Rowe clocked the fifth fastest time.
Once again, it was not a great session for Nikita Johnson as the championship leader only ended up 11th quickest.

Heading into qualifying, Max Taylor unsurprisingly chose Group 2 to run in as the street circuit continued to ramp up.
A rapid 1:38.884 from Alessandro de Tullio saw him top Group 1. He was the only driver below 99s. Kucharczyk continued his strong start to the season as he guaranteed himself a second row start, clocking a 1:39.229. Beeton, Correa and Nannini rounded out the top 5. Seb Murray had a very disappointing qualifying as he was only 6th.

As Group 2 got going, Max Taylor was immediately setting purple sectors and laps as he continued his strong form.
With just over 5 minutes to go, Alexander Koreiba brought out the red flags as he was stopped in the run-off. Eventually he got going but lost his best time to that point.
However, a shock twist came as Enzo Fittipaldi went fastest in this group after the session got going again. He did a 1:38.982, tenth slower than de Tullio. The Italian-American starts on pole for Sunday. Taylor, Johnson, Hughes and Rowe rounded out the top 5.
