Johnson reclaims points lead
Having lost the title lead to Max Taylor following the Andretti driver’s win in Arlington, Nikita Johnson snatched it back in Barber thanks to help from his main rival.
A collision between Taylor and de Tullio towards the end of race 1 opened the door for the Cape Motorsports powered by ECR driver to take the win. In the second race, the driver from Argentina took his first win in the category as he fended off Taylor in an intense contest all the way. No contact was made on this occasion.
P2 and P3 in race 1, Enzo Fittipaldi and Tymek Kucharczyk sealed top 5s in race 2 to bag invaluable points in their title bids. The win for de Tullio shot him up to 5th in points.
