The Michelin 24H Series European Series continues its 2026 campaign with Round 2 at the iconic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Scheduled across 17–19 April, the Michelin 12H Spa-Francorchamps promises another demanding endurance test at one of motorsport’s most revered venues.
A total of 41 cars will contest the eighth running of this two-part, 12-hour race, bringing together a diverse and competitive grid. With leading manufacturers represented and driver line-ups now finalised, the event sets the stage for an intense multi-class battle across GT3, 992, GTX, GT4, and TCE-TCX categories.
GT3 giants assemble for overall honours
The fight for outright victory will feature a stellar line-up of GT3 machinery from leading marques including Audi, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.
Among the favourites, Herberth Motorsport fields its Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO with a strong trio of Max Moritz, Alfred Renauer and Klaus Bachler. The team arrives in form after finishing runner-up at Spa last season and securing second place at the season-opening Mugello round.
Meanwhile, Proton Competition opts for a four-driver approach, with Jörg Dreisow, Constantin Dressler, Manuel Lauck and Robert de Haan sharing driving duties.
Mercedes-AMG entries are particularly abundant. GetSpeed returns after claiming pole position at Mugello, with Benjamin Paque, Jordan Boisson, Patrick Charlaix and Marvin Klein confirmed in one car, while a second line-up includes Steve Jans, Tanner Harvey, Patrick Liddy and Adam Osieka.
Elsewhere, Ajith Kumar Racing features a notable line-up including actor Ajith Kumar alongside Kobe de Breucker and brothers Yannick and Ayrton Redant. HOFOR Racing continues its family-driven approach, fielding Alexander and Chantal Prinz, Michael Kroll and Torsten Kratz.
Additional Mercedes-AMG entries come from Viper Niza Racing and MP Racing, the latter featuring siblings Manuela, Corinna and David Gostner alongside their father Thomas and Pepe Massimo.
Ferrari representation includes Era Motorsport and Pellin Racing, while ARC Bratislava aims to build on its Mugello success with its Lamborghini entry.
Additionally, Optimum Motorsport makes its season debut with a McLaren 720S GT3, adding further depth to the grid.
Audi and Aston Martin add further depth
HAAS RT expands to a two-car effort after showing strong pace at Mugello. The team’s No.21 Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II, driven by Nicolas and Peter Guelinckx alongside Simon Balcaen, will be joined by a second entry featuring Pierre and Mathieu Castelien and Steven Palette.
Continental Racing by Simpson Motorsport also enters an Audi, further strengthening the German marque’s presence.
Aston Martin fields three Vantage AMR GT3 EVOs, with E2P Racing running Pablo Burguera, Antonio Sainero and Oliver Campos. Comtoyou Racing adds two more entries, including one featuring Jan Jaap van Roon and Tom Coronel, and another driven by Xavier Knauf, Gregory Servais and Nicolas Baert.
Fierce competition in the 992 Class
The always-competitive 992 category once again promises close racing, with 14 Porsche entries set to battle for class honours.
Mühlner Motorsport arrives as the team to beat following its Mugello victory, fielding Conrad Tox Leveau, Martin Rump, Tim Scheerbarth and Julian Hanses.
Their main challengers include Red Camel-Jordans.nl, which fields a family-driven quartet of Luc, Rik and Ivo Breukers alongside Fabian Danz.
HRT Performance brings multiple entries, including the QMMF car featuring Ahmed Al-Emadi, Jassim Al-Thani and Faesal Al Yafei, who triumphed in the 992 AM class at Mugello.
Teams such as Seblajoux Racing, RPM Racing and Holmgaard Motorsport further intensify the competition, while several family-based line-ups add a unique dynamic to the class.
Expanding battles in GTX, GT4 and TCE-TCX
Beyond GT3 and 992, the supporting classes also see increased competition.
In GTX, Vortex V8 enters two of its distinctive Vortex 2.0 cars, including the Mugello-winning No.701. NM Racing provides opposition with its Mercedes-AMG GT2.
The GT4 category features entries from CWS Engineering and Circuit Toys, while TCE-TCX includes returning competitors such as asBest Racing.
They will face challenges from Not Only Motorsport, J-Mec Engineering and JW Raceservice, ensuring competitive depth across all categories.
Weekend format and key timings
Track action begins with preparatory sessions before the traditional parade to Malmedy on Thursday. Competitive running starts on Friday with practice and qualifying, featuring separate sessions for each class grouping.
The race itself follows the established two-part format. The opening segment—lasting five and a half hours—begins on Saturday at 11:30 local time. After an overnight pause under parc fermé conditions, the final six and a half hours resume on Sunday morning at 10:30.
Therefore, as the Michelin 24H Series European Series heads to Spa-Francorchamps, all the ingredients are in place for a compelling endurance contest. A packed grid, diverse classes, and a mix of professional and amateur drivers ensure unpredictability across the full 12-hour distance.
With prestige manufacturers, experienced teams, and rising talents all in contention, the second round of the 2026 season promises to deliver a true test of speed, strategy, and resilience at one of racing’s most iconic circuits.
