AF Corse has revealed the Ferrari it will field in the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) as the team aims to build on its famous 2025 victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The independent Italian squad will again run the #83 Ferrari 499P in the Hypercar category. Meanwhile, drivers Robert Kubica, Phil Hanson and Yifei Ye return with the clear objective of turning last season’s success into a full world championship campaign.

Strong 2025 campaign sets the foundation for AF Corse 2026 WEC-title challenge

AF Corse enjoyed a highly competitive 2025 season in the top Hypercar class. The #83 Ferrari quickly established itself as a frontrunner from the opening round of the championship.

The trio began the campaign strongly by finishing second in the Qatar 1812km. From that point onward, they remained firmly in the title fight throughout the year.

As the season progressed, Kubica, Hanson and Ye consistently challenged the leading factory teams. Ultimately, they finished as runners-up in the Drivers’ Championship while also securing a commanding victory in the FIA World Cup for Hypercar Teams.

The highlight of the season arrived at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. There, the #83 crew produced a remarkable performance against intense competition.

Kubica played a decisive role in the closing stages. The Polish driver delivered five consecutive stints to defend the lead against strong pressure from Porsche and Ferrari’s factory entries.

His determined drive ensured the independent AF Corse team claimed one of endurance racing’s most prestigious victories.

Evolution of the iconic Ferrari livery

For the 2026 season, the #83 Ferrari 499P will feature an updated design that blends continuity with a fresh visual identity.

The car retains the distinctive Giallo Modena yellow that has become synonymous with the entry. However, the team has introduced new red accents and geometric details to emphasise Ferrari’s racing heritage while refining the overall look.

The revised livery reflects both the team’s success and its ambition heading into the new campaign.

Busy global calendar ahead as AF Corse takes on 2026 WEC campaign

The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship will once again take teams across several iconic circuits around the world.

The season will begin with the Qatar 1812km on 28 March. After that, the championship moves to Imola, followed by Spa-Francorchamps and the centrepiece event at Le Mans in June.

The calendar then continues with rounds in Brazil at Interlagos, the United States at the Circuit of the Americas, and Japan at Fuji. Finally, the season will conclude with the traditional eight-hour finale in Bahrain on 7 November.

With momentum from their Le Mans triumph and a proven driver line-up, AF Corse now enters the 2026 season determined to convert its speed into overall championship glory.
