Akkodis ASP Team has revealed the updated design for the pair of Lexus RC F LMGT3 cars it will field in the upcoming 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season.
The French outfit will once again run two entries – the #78 and #87 cars – as it aims to build on its impressive progress in the series. Both machines will carry a bold new visual identity that reflects the team’s ambition to compete for the LMGT3 title.
Breakthrough progress in 2025
The Jérôme Policand-led squad emerged as one of the standout performers in last year’s championship. After finishing 16th and 18th in the standings in the previous campaign, the team made a remarkable leap forward in 2025.
Akkodis ASP Team ultimately secured third and ninth place in the championship standings, marking the biggest improvement among the 18 teams on the grid.
The #78 Lexus RC F LMGT3 demonstrated strong one-lap pace throughout the season by securing two pole positions. Meanwhile, the #87 entry delivered the team’s headline results, taking victories in both Brazil and Bahrain.
Those performances firmly established Akkodis as a rising contender within the fiercely competitive LMGT3 class.

For the upcoming campaign, the team has introduced a revised livery for both cars. The new design blends Lexus’ recognisable brand identity with Akkodis’ focus on performance and precision, creating a distinctive look that reflects the squad’s determination to challenge at the front of the field.
With momentum on its side, the team now aims to convert last season’s breakthrough performances into a full championship challenge.
Driver line-ups confirmed with eyes set on 2026 campaign
Akkodis will field two strong driver line-ups as it pursues LMGT3 honours. The #78 Lexus will be driven by Esteban Masson, FIA WEC newcomer Hadrien David and Tom van Rompuy. Together, the trio will look to capitalise on the car’s proven qualifying pace and deliver consistent results throughout the championship.
Meanwhile, the #87 entry retains the successful line-up that secured victories last season. José María López, Clemens Schmid and Petru Umbrărescu will once again share driving duties as the team relies on their established chemistry and experience.
Within the team, the focus has already shifted from last year’s progress to the next step—winning the championship.
“This is more than just a new design – it’s a symbol of our journey,” mused Austrian ace Schmid. “Last season, we fought hard to earn P3 overall, but our goal is clear – P1. Every lap, every sacrifice, every late night led us here. In 2026, we’re coming back stronger. This is our moment.”
With a refreshed look, proven driver line-ups and confidence gained from last season’s results, Akkodis ASP Team will begin the new FIA WEC campaign determined to turn potential into championship success.
