Rodin Motorsport have confirmed that newly-crowned 2025 GB3 Champion Alex Ninovic will remain with the team for the 2026 Formula Regional European Championship (FREC) season. The announcement follows the team’s recent confirmation of their entry into the series, which serves as the key stepping stone between regional Formula 4 championships and FIA Formula 3.
Since making his single-seater debut with Rodin in 2023, he has built an impressive record with the team—finishing second in the British F4 Championship before clinching this year’s GB3 crown. The 18 year-old’s GB3 season was nothing short of amazing and record-breaking, showcasing his raw speed and maturity in his race craft. Ninovic secured nine wins, ten pole positions and two additional podiums to seal the title with a round to spare. However, as he steps up to FREC in 2026, Ninovic will continue with Rodin, continuing their partnership together that has already delivered remarkable success.
Building on success with Rodin
Rodin Motorsport’s portfolio in junior single-seaters continue to expand, with the team already competing in FIA Formula 2 and 3, F1 Academy, GB3 , F4 and now FREC. Subsequently, over the years, they have built a strong reputation for developing young talent and guiding drivers through the junior ranks. Now, as their presence grows even further in the junior categories, Ninovic joins their list of rising stars and enthusiastically expressed his excitement about taking the next step in his journey with the team.
Ninovic said: “A new year, a new category and a new challenge but the same awesome team I enjoyed great success with in 2025. I can’t wait!”
Alongside Ninovic, Rodin Motorsport’s Sporting Director Benn Huntingford and the team’s Managing Director Emma Duncan both praised the 18 year-old’s talent, expressing their delight at seeing him continue his journey with Rodin.
Huntingford said: “We’re very pleased that Alex will continue his journey with Rodin as we launch our new programme in the FIA Formula Regional European Championship. His performances in GB3 showed both speed and maturity and we’re confident he will carry that momentum into FREC. Having a champion like Alex with us from the very start is an exciting step for this project.”
Duncan added: “Alex’s season has been nothing short of exceptional. Winning the GB3 Championship is a reflection of his talent, discipline, and drive – qualities that align perfectly with Rodin’s ethos. We’re proud to see him continue his journey with us into FREC, where I’ve no doubt he’ll make a strong impression from the outset.”
