Rodin Motorsport’s star driver Alex Ninovic has capped off a record-breaking season in the 2025 GB3 Championship by claiming both the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup and his fifth consecutive Sunoco Fastest Driver of the Weekend Award at Monza. The young Australian’s performance has set a new benchmark for qualifying dominance in the series’ history.
Record-breaking Qualifying run
Throughout 2025, Ninovic proved unstoppable in qualifying. Indeed, across the 16 available pole positions, he impressively secured 10, thereby shattering the previous record of six poles set by Callum Voisin in 2023. Moreover, from the Zandvoort round onwards, the Rodin Motorsport driver went on an unbroken run of pole-winning performances, including double poles at Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and the Monza finale.
At Monza, Ninovic continued his blistering form. Firstly, he narrowly took Q1 pole by just four thousandths of a second from fellow Australian Patrick Heuzenroeder, while in Q2, he extended his advantage to two tenths over Noah Lisle. Consequently, his consistency and precision in qualifying made him the driver to beat all season.
In recognition of his achievement, Ninovic received the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup trophy from long-time award sponsor John Cavill. In addition, his efforts brought in £3,000 in pole prize money during the year, as well as an additional £2,000 for topping the end-of-year standings. Furthermore, Rodin Motorsport, as the team behind the most poles, was also rewarded with £2,000 and the David Poole-Warren Pole Position Cup.
Reflecting on his remarkable success, Ninovic said: “It’s amazing, I can’t believe how successful we’ve been this year in qualifying. I can’t thank the team, Rodin Motorsport, enough for giving me the car to go out there and do it, and for all the preparation behind the scenes that makes it look so easy!”

Ninovic’s pace was not limited to Qualifying. At Monza, he delivered another masterclass by claiming the fastest lap in all three races, even while charging from 18th to seventh in the final event. His quickest time of 1m43.835s was the only lap all weekend to dip below the 1m44s barrier, underlining his exceptional race speed.
