Rachel Robertson will step into the TAG Heuer F1 Academy seat of Aiva Anagnostiadis for the season finale at the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix. Anagnostiadis, who fractured her left foot before the Singapore GP, recently underwent surgery and will miss the finale after already sitting out Round 6 in Singapore. In her absence there, Megan Bruce filled in, finishing 12th and 13th in her F1 Academy debut.
Robertson’s debut
In Las Vegas, Robertson will take the wheel of the TAG Heuer car run by Hitech TGR. The Scottish driver began her racing career in 2022 in karting and went on to compete in the 2024 British Kart Championship with Guy Cunnington Racing team, finishing 26th overall.
Supported by Wear Alliance Racing Academy and the Motorsport UK Academy Futures Program, Robertson recently completed a season of Radical Cup UK with the Radical Racing Rebels team, securing P3 in the championship. Currently, she competes in the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship. Despite a tough start with 2 DNFs, she found her pace and went on to finish 10th and 13th in the following races in Bahrain.
Robertson also participated and impressed during the 2025 F1 Academy Rookie Test in Navarra, setting the fifth-fastest time in the morning session, 1:47.691. She then climbed to fourth in the afternoon session before an oil leak on her car triggered a red flag in the final minutes of the session. Her strong performance earned her a debut seat for the Las Vegas finale on November 20-22, marking a key opportunity to gain experience at an international level.
Las Vegas finale
The Las Vegas round marks a historic moment as F1 Academy makes its debut on the Las Vegas Street Circuit. Drivers will face the challenge of learning the circuit only through simulator preparation, getting ready for the cold temperatures and low-grip track conditions.
The finale is set for a close championship battle between Dorianne Pin and Maya Weug, along with a new partnership with Hello Kitty and a sold-out special grandstand.
Therefore, as Aiva Anagnostiadis recovers from her surgery, all eyes will be on Robertson as she makes her F1 Academy debut on the unique Las Vegas circuit.
