Hitech has confirmed that Deagen Fairclough will remain with the team for the 2026 GB3 Championship, completing its three-car line-up for the new season. The announcement underlines the strength of the partnership after an impressive debut campaign together in 2025.
Fairclough, who hails from Crawley, will enter his second GB3 season determined to build on the progress he made during his rookie year. The British driver has already enjoyed a rapid rise through the junior ranks, and he now aims to translate experience into a sustained title challenge.
Strong foundations from rookie season
In 2025, Fairclough consistently ran at the front in a competitive international field. He secured one victory and added six further podium finishes, regularly fighting at the sharp end of the grid. As a result, he claimed third place in the Drivers’ standings, while helping Hitech secure Vice-Championship honours in the Teams’ standings.
Throughout the season, he combined natural speed with growing maturity. He adapted quickly to the demands of GB3 machinery and race strategy, and he developed steadily as the year progressed. Consequently, he established himself as one of the championship’s emerging talents.
Now, with a full season under his belt, Fairclough heads into 2026 with renewed confidence. By staying with Hitech, he benefits from continuity, technical stability and a team environment that already understands his driving style.
A proven winner in junior formulae
Fairclough’s rise to GB3 followed a dominant British F4 campaign in 2024. After finishing third in the 2023 F4 British Championship with JHR Developments, he moved to Hitech and delivered a record-breaking season. He wrapped up the title with five races to spare and ultimately claimed 14 wins from 30 races — the highest single-season tally in the championship’s history.
Moreover, he added to his growing reputation by winning the 2024 Autosport BRDC Award. That accolade earned him a test in Aston Martin’s AMR23 Formula One car, which he completed later that year.
Before his single-seater success, Fairclough began his car racing career in 2020 in the Junior Saloon Car Championship. Despite limited karting experience, he finished sixth overall in his first season. He then scored eight wins in the 2021 Fiesta Junior Championship, underlining his ability to adapt quickly and deliver results.
Fairclough sets clear targets for 2026 GB3 campaign with Hitech
Looking ahead, Fairclough has set his sights firmly on further progress. He said: “I’m really happy to be staying with Hitech for another season in GB3. Last year taught me a lot, and I feel like we’ve built a strong base together. I’m excited to keep working with the team and to go into 2026 ready to fight for strong results.”
His ambition reflects the trajectory of his career so far. Having already demonstrated front-running pace, he now aims to convert consistency into regular wins and mount a stronger Drivers’ Championship challenge.
Hitech’s GB3 Team Manager Phil Blow has expressed confidence in Fairclough’s development and future potential. He said: “Deagen made strong progress throughout his first GB3 season, and his commitment and work ethic stood out. Having continuity for a second year is a big positive, and we believe that with his experience base, he’s well positioned to take another step forward in 2026.”
With stability on his side and momentum behind him, Fairclough enters the 2026 GB3 Championship as one of the leading contenders. If he continues the upward curve he established in 2025, he will not only target more podiums but also position himself firmly in the fight for the title.
