Diego de la Torre will continue his partnership with Team Motopark in the 2026 season of the Euroformula Open. The 19-year-old Mexican becomes the second driver confirmed by the German squad for the upcoming campaign.
The announcement follows de la Torre’s promising rookie season in 2025, during which he finished eighth in the championship standings. Although it was his first year in the series, he consistently demonstrated strong pace and delivered several standout performances throughout the season.
Before stepping up to Euroformula Open, de la Torre built experience across both South American and European Formula 4 championships. That background helped him adapt quickly to the competitive European single-seater environment, allowing him to show flashes of speed during his debut campaign.
Building on a promising rookie season
While de la Torre’s 2025 season included challenges typical of a rookie campaign, it also highlighted his potential. He regularly fought in the midfield and occasionally challenged at the front when conditions suited him.
As a result, both driver and team see clear opportunities for progress in 2026. With one full season of experience in the championship and continued support from Motopark’s development programme, De la Torre aims to convert his raw pace into consistent results.
Speaking about his return to the team, de la Torre said: “I’m honoured to be racing again with Motopark, proudly representing Mexico. It means a lot to return to such a competitive team. I’m coming back stronger and ready to fight for great results.”
His commitment signals confidence in the team’s structure and the progress made during their first year together.

Team management also expressed optimism about the young driver’s continued growth. Motopark believes that further experience will help de la Torre unlock more consistent front-running performances.
Team manager Roland Rehfeld emphasised the importance of continuity for the programme.
“As with Everett [Stack], we are happy that Diego has committed to a second season with us, showing his trust in our Driver Development Program. Diego already showed some highlights in 2025. When he is in a good rhythm, you can count on him to be at the front of the grid. Our goal is to widen that window of confidence, and we are heading in the right direction.”
Therefore, as the 2026 season approaches, both driver and team will aim to transform last year’s flashes of speed into consistent results and a stronger championship challenge.
