At just 22, Doriane Pin has already forged a reputation as one of motorsport’s brightest young talents. With success across GT, endurance, and single-seater racing, the Ivry-sur-Seine native now takes a pivotal development driver role in the Peugeot WEC Hypercar programme, where her technical insight and adaptability will support the development of the 9X8.
Landmark achievements already distinguish Pin’s career. She claimed the 2022 Ferrari Challenge Europe title, triumphed in-class at the 24 Hours of Spa with the Iron Dames, and captured the F1 Academy championship in 2025. Along the way, she has consistently demonstrated speed, precision, and versatility across diverse racing disciplines.
Pin joins Peugeot WEC Hypercar programme with multi-disciplinary success behind her
Pin’s journey began in karting at age nine, progressing steadily through national championships before claiming the female category in 2019. She equally calculated her more into cars, with competitive campaigns in the Renault Clio Cup and GT3 machinery in the Le Mans Cup.
Her endurance racing experience is particularly impressive. Pin has made ten FIA World Endurance Championship appearances, including a full 2023 LMP2 campaign with Prema Racing, during which she earned a podium at Sebring. Simultaneously, she excelled in single-seaters, finishing runner-up in the 2023 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship and amassing seven wins, nine further podiums, and five poles in F1 Academy over two seasons.
Therefore, this mix of single-seater precision and endurance stamina gives Pin a rare combination of skills ideally suited to developing a top-tier Hypercar.
Pin on joining Peugeot’s Hypercar effort
Peugeot’s Hypercar project is seeking its first victory in the World Endurance Championship, and Pin’s addition brings fresh energy and perspective to the programme. She will work closely with engineers, participate in simulator sessions, and prepare for her maiden on-track outing in the 9X8 during the end-of-season Rookie Test in Bahrain.
“Joining Team Peugeot TotalEnergies is a great source of pride for me,” enthused Pin, who takes over the role from countryman Théo Pourchaire, now a fully-fledged member of the Satory-based squad’s race line-up. “Being able to play a part in the development of the 9X8 represents a real opportunity.
“My aim is to learn as much as possible, fully integrate into the team and utilise my commitment and perspective to contribute to the success of the project. It’s a big step toward my goals, and I’m determined to make the most of it with the ambition of becoming an official driver.”
A track record of talent and dedication
Pin’s ability to perform under pressure has not gone unnoticed. Beyond Peugeot, she currently serves as a development driver for Mercedes in Formula 1 and will compete in the 2026 European Le Mans Series with the Iron Dames in the LMP2 Pro-Am category.
Emmanuel Esnault, Team Principal at Peugeot, emphasised her value to the programme.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Doriane to the Peugeot Sport family,” commented Esnault. “Her track record and dynamic approach make her a fantastic addition to our development programme. We’re looking forward to the new perspectives she will bring as we continue refining the 9X8, and are eager to see her get behind the wheel in Bahrain.”
Her combination of experience, adaptability, and fresh insight promises to accelerate the development of Peugeot’s Hypercar, while also advancing her own career ambitions.
