DS Penske has confirmed that American driver Lindsay Brewer and British racer Jess Edgar will participate in the upcoming Formula E Women’s Test in Valencia on October 31.

Part of Formula E’s pre-season program, the session marks the championship’s second all-female test after last year’s success.

Brewer to make FE debut

For Lindsay Brewer, this test marks her first experience behind the wheel of a Formula E car. On social media, Brewer expressed her joy by saying: “Excited to announce I’ll be participating in the FIA Formula E Women’s Test with DS Penske FE. Thank you for the opportunity!”

The 28-year-old American has already built a varied career across the U.S., in the F1600 Championship Series, Indy Pro 2000, and Indy NXT. She currently competes in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America with RAFA Racing.

Edgar returns to DS Penske

Meanwhile, Jessica Edgar returns to the French-American team after impressing during last year’s test, where she finished 11th overall with a time of 1:33.155. The Brit has competed in series such as GB4 and F1 Academy, where she finished eighth in the standings in 2023 and 13th in 2024. She currently drives in the KZ2 British Karting Championship.

Reflecting on her return, Edgar wrote on social media: “I’ve missed this! Super excited to be working with the team and building on everything we learnt together last year.”

Building momentum for Women in FE

Alongside Brewer and Edgar, the confirmed participants include Abbi Pulling and Bianca Bustamante. Pulling returns to Nissan after topping the 2024 FE Women’s Test. Bustamante will drive for CUPRA Kiro and currently serves as a Development Driver for the team.

The all-female test will see 20 talented female drivers on the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, all driving the GEN3 Evo car. The session highlights Formula E’s commitment to promoting greater diversity across the sport.
