Dürksen joins Invicta Racing for 2026 F2 season

A new partnership will begin between Joshua Dürksen and Invicta Racing for the upcoming 2026 F2 season. In fact, the Paraguayan driver will return to the grid for a third consecutive stint, changing teams for the first time in his Formula 2 career.

A successful debut

Dürksen had joined Aix Racing back in 2024, making history by becoming the first Paraguayan driver to win a race in the championship in Baku. He had concluded his rookie year in the series with two race wins and two other podium finishes, ending the season as Aix Racing‘s best-placed driver with 87 points to his name and a top ten spot in the drivers’ standings.

He had also started out 2025 in strong way by taking the crown in the first race of the year held at Melbourne. Ever since, Dürksen has tallied up five podium finishes for a total of 66 points and a provisional P9 in the current classification.

Dürksen was extremely pleased with the announcement of his move to Invicta Racing for the 2026 F2 series. His first words as a new driver for the British team who had won the title in 2024 with F1 driver Gabriel Bortoleto were: “I’m incredibly proud to be representing Invicta Racing and Paraguay for the 2026 Formula 2 season.he team has shown over several years that it’s one of the very best in the championship, and I’m excited to seize this huge opportunity.

I’ve learned a lot during my time in F2 so far, and I feel ready to fight at the very front every weekend and to show what Paraguay is capable of. I’m really looking forward to starting work with everyone in the team, and I’m confident that we can achieve great things together next year.”

A serious title contender for 2026

Invicta Racing Team Principal James Robinson saluted the driver announcement, highlighting the strong career of the Paraguayan so far.

“Joshua has been one of the standout performers in Formula 2 over the past couple of seasons and we’re very excited to welcome him to Invicta Racing for 2026. He’s a proven race winner with not only the speed, but the mindset to fight at the sharp end of the grid. Joshua’s ability to extract performance under pressure and his commitment to constant improvement have immediately impressed us, and I’m confident that we will deliver some strong results together next year.”

The 2025 driver lineup of Invicta Racing has been incredibly successful as well. In fact, championship leader Leonardo Fornaroli has secured four race wins with two race weekends left, with teammate Roman Stanek achieving one as well.
