After a very strong beginning of the 2025/2026 season, Envision Racing wishes to carry over its double points streak into the new Formula E season in the Mexico City E-Prix. The inaugural round of Season 12 had brought great success to both sides of the green garage.

A first time for Eriksson

In fact, in his first race as a full time Formula E driver, Joel Eriksson had performed brilliantly achieving an impressive P7 in Brazil, in spite of a tough qualifying which had seen him start from P18.

Even though it’ll be the first race for the Swedish driver at the rather peculiar Mexican Autodromo, he believes a positive race can be in the cards for him. In fact, he saluted the first race of 2026 as it follows.

After a good first race in Brazil to start the season, I’m very much looking forward to the next race in Mexico City.”

We’ve been working hard during the break from the first race and are heading to Mexico feeling prepared to deliver another good weekend.”

Buemi looking for revenge on 2025

On the other hand, veteran Sebastien Buemi is too excited for a new chance to prove his talent at worth at and impressive track. The Brazilian round had reserved a positive outcome for him too, ending in the top ten and being home good points from P8.

2025 had been a strong season for the Swiss driver, who had won his first race since Portland 2023 and also secured two other additional podiums, the latest of which had come in the final London round.

While his latest visit to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez had not been successful, in the season before Buemi had managed to gain an impressive P2. Consequently, the Envision Racing driver believes there is the potential for more in the upcoming Formula E Mexico City E-Prix.

Mexico City is one of the highlights on the calendar, great fans and an exciting circuit. Last season we were very unlucky here, so we will be doing all we can to bring home a good result, which we know we are capable of.
