Van Amersfoort Racing has confirmed Enzo Deligny as its final driver for the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship, completing the team’s F3 line-up for the upcoming season. The Frenchman replaces Jesse Carrasquedo and will race alongside Hiyu Yamakoshi and Bruno del Pino, as the Dutch outfit continues to place strong emphasis on developing emerging talent.
Deligny makes the move to Van Amersfoort Racing just months after Prema Racing announced him as a member of their 2026 F3 line-up. His switch now leaves the Italian team with an empty seat that they have yet to fill ahead of pre-season testing.
Deligny eager to begin his F3 journey with Van Amersfoort Racing in 2026
Following the announcement, Deligny expressed clear enthusiasm about joining Van Amersfoort Racing and taking the next step in his career. After several competitive seasons in Formula Regional, the 17-year-old views F3 as a natural progression and an opportunity to establish himself at a higher level. Speaking about his signing with Van Amersfoort Racing, Deligny said he was excited and ready to get going at pre-season testing with the team.
“I am really happy to be joining Van Amersfoort Racing for the 2026 season. Formula 3 is the next step I’ve been working towards and I’m excited to take it with VAR. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team and pushing to be competitive together throughout the year.”
From the team’s perspective, Van Amersfoort Racing has tracked Deligny’s progress closely over several seasons. In particular, his strong 2025 Formula Regional European campaign, where he emerged as a consistent race winner and title contender, played a key role in the decision. Team Principal Brad Joyce emphasised the team’s confidence in Deligny’s ability to perform at the front and continue developing within the Van Amersfoort Racing environment.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Enzo to Van Amersfoort Racing. We’ve been watching Enzo closely over the past few years and he’s delivered some very strong results, particularly in Formula Regional last season. He’s shown speed, consistency and the ability to perform at the front. We believe he has a lot of potential and we’re looking forward to working with him this year.”
A strong pedigree from karting to single-seaters
Deligny brings an extensive and international racing background to the 2026 F3 grid. Born in Shanghai to former French racer Arnaud Deligny, he began karting at the Shanghai International Circuit at just five years old. Impressively, he claimed his first race victory only a year later.
After moving to the United States, Deligny enjoyed significant success in American karting before transitioning to Europe in 2020. There, he continued to impress, rising through the OK Junior and OK Senior categories and becoming one of only three drivers to win a senior karting race at the age of 13.
Deligny made his single-seater debut in 2023 in the Spanish Formula 4 Championship with Campos Racing. Over the course of the season, he secured two victories and ten podium finishes, ultimately claiming fourth in the standings. Alongside this campaign, he gained further experience in Italian F4 and the Euro 4 Championship.
He then expanded his résumé in early 2024 by competing in selected rounds of the Formula 4 UAE Championship with R-ace GP, where he added further podiums and a race win despite missing the opening events.
Breakthrough season sets up F3 move
Deligny’s career took a major step forward during his second season in the Formula Regional European Championship in 2025. Throughout the year, he delivered four wins, four pole positions and nine podium finishes, maintaining consistent front-running form across a wide range of circuits. As a result, he finished third in the championship standings with 235 points, marking a significant leap from his rookie campaign.
That momentum now carries into 2026, where Deligny prepares to make his F3 debut with Van Amersfoort Racing. Therefore, with pre-season testing fast approaching, the focus will turn to how quickly he adapts to his new surroundings. Nevertheless, his record suggests that Van Amersfoort Racing has secured a driver capable of making an immediate and meaningful impact.
