Elevate Motorsports Marketing has announced, on behalf of Hillenburg Motorsports, that Eric Wisniewski will contest the full 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRAC). This announcement completes the team’s driver line-up for its debut professional campaign.

Wisniewski, who hails from Mason, Michigan, now steps into a highly competitive environment after building a strong reputation in junior and amateur open-wheel categories. Consequently, this move represents a significant milestone in his racing career.

Strong form in SCCA competition, with an impressive background in junior categories

Wisniewski has delivered consistently impressive results in SCCA Formula Enterprise 2 (FE2). Most notably, he secured a silver medal at the 2025 SCCA National Championship Runoffs, marking his second consecutive second-place finish after achieving the same result in 2024.

In addition, he claimed both the 2025 Hoosier SCCA Super Tour Championship and the 2025 Mid-States Division Championship. Throughout the season, he recorded multiple race wins and podium finishes. His standout performance came at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, where he completed a dominant sweep that included pole positions, race victories and a track record. Therefore, he has firmly established himself as a front-running competitor in the FE2 field.

Before his success in SCCA competition, however, Wisniewski gained valuable experience in the 2023 Formula 4 United States Championship. Even earlier, he demonstrated exceptional potential by winning the inaugural Driver Championship in what is now known as the Ligier Junior Formula Championship in 2022, at just 14 years of age.

As a result, his progression through the ranks highlights both his adaptability and natural speed, qualities that Hillenburg Motorsports clearly values. Team co-owner Roy Hillenburg expressed strong confidence in Wisniewski’s abilities.

“Eric represents the next generation of talent we’re excited to develop in FR Americas. His recent success in FE2—including back-to-back Runoffs podiums, the 2025 Hoosier Super Tour Championship, and the Mid-States Division title—combined with his F4 experience and championship pedigree from such a young age, makes him an ideal addition to our program. We have a strong lineup ready to compete at the professional level.”

Wisniewski takes on new challenge in 2026 FRAC as debut season begins in NOLA

Wisniewski will drive the No. 25 Ligier JS F3 for Hillenburg Motorsports, with support from primary sponsor RE/MAX Commercial Group. As he prepares for his first full season at this level, expectations will centre on continued development and consistent performances.

Hillenburg Motorsports will officially make its Formula Regional Americas debut at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana, from 9–12 April. Both drivers will take to the track as the team begins its first campaign in the championship.

With decades of experience spanning sprint cars, Formula Mazda, Indy Lights, US F4 and SCCA FE2, the team enters the series with a solid technical foundation. Accordingly, Wisniewski’s arrival strengthens an already promising programme as the squad prepares to make its mark on the 2026 season.
