Q2
As the middle segment of qualifying began, rain was a big threat as cells suddenly popped up.
Kimi Antonelli was first up and he did a 1:16.386. Russell followed up as he did a 1:16.057.
Despite the worries of rain, it was the rapid McLarens dominating. Lando Norris did a 1:14.890, outpacing Oscar Piastri by 0.051s. Aston Martin continued their amazing pace, with Alonso and Stroll P3 and P4. Hadjar, Bearman, Russell, Verstappen, Lawson and Leclerc completed the top 10. Hamilton, Sainz, Bortoleto, Antonelli and Colapinto needed to find more to make their way through. The Alpine driver had a snap of oversteer in turn 9 and lost his time.
After the worries of rain cleared, at least for the time being, Lance Stroll significantly improved to end up just 0.239s away from Norris.
While he did not to the tidiest of laps, Charles Leclerc put himself P5. George Russell would displace him as the Mercedes man vaulted up to P4, splitting the impressive Astons. The Monegasque was P6 in the end.
Hadjar, Verstappen, Lawson and the incredibly impressive Bortoleto also booked their spots in Q3.
Antonelli looked to have missed out by 0.006s as he missed nearly half a second to teammate George Russell in Q2. His time was deleted for track limits in the end.
Bearman, Hamilton, Sainz, Colapinto and Antonelli got knocked out. The seven-time World Champion was 0.247s slower than his stablemate. Both the Haas and Ferrari drivers had snaps of oversteer in turn 13.

Unfortunately for Lance Stroll, he lost his time after going first; he exceeded track limits in turn 9. Fernando Alonso logged a 1:16.025 to post the first time of the final segment.
A 1:15.398 from Oscar Piastri put him P1 after the first runs, leading Norris by 0.096s. Russell went P3, 0.234s slower than the Australian. Both British drivers had snaps of oversteer in the last sector.
Alonso, Verstappen, Leclerc, Lawson and Bortoleto completed the order of those who had done a valid lap.
As usual, Aston Martin went early. Fernando Alonso logged a good lap, putting him 0.083s away from the Australian. Lance Stroll was a mere 0.017s slower, up in 4th at that stage.
In an extraordinary end to qualifying, Charles Leclerc pumped in a 1:15.372 to snatch pole position away from Oscar Piastri by 0.036s. The Australian failed to improve on the second run, with Lando Norris only managing P3. He was 0.005s slower than his stablemate. Piastri and Norris were 0.4s and 0.5s than their Q2 times.
Unbelievably, George Russell was only 0.053s off pole but could only manage P4.
Alonso and Stroll take the third row for Aston Martin.
The sensational Gabriel Bortoleto was P7, ahead of Verstappen, Lawson and Hadjar. 0.543s covered the top 10 in Q3.
