With the 2026 FIA Formula 2 season nearing its start, Campos Racing has shared its main goal of producing consistent results to secure its maiden Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships.
Campos Racing has shown significant progress in recent years. They moved from 9th in the 2023 Teams’ Standings to 2nd in 2024 with 245 points following the introduction of the new F2 car. The Spanish outfit was even close to winning their first Drivers’ Championship in 2024 with Isack Hadjar.
2025 F2 season results
In 2025, Arvid Lindblad and Pepe Martí guided the team to P3 in the standings with 258 points, with the team hoping for a better result. The duo claimed a total of six race wins for Campos Racing, including 5 Sprint victories and 1 special Feature Race P1. At Round 6 in Barcelona, Lindblad secured a maiden pole and led a dominant Feature Race to claim victory for Campos Racing on home soil.
However, the team’s ability to compete for championships was limited by inconsistency, with both drivers experiencing point droughts. For Martí, this period of struggle came between Imola and Barcelona, as he struggled with race pace and an unfortunate DNF in Monaco. Whereas Lindblad did not score points in six out of seven races from Spielberg to Budapest, with rookie mistakes taking over his mid-season.
Additionally, before the final two rounds of the 2025 F2 season, Martí transitioned to a full-time Formula E driver, with F3 driver Nikola Tsolov taking his seat. The Bulgrian driver quickly impressed in his F2 debut, claiming 12 points and a third place in the Yas Marina Sprint Race.
New all-rookie lineup
In 2025, Lindblad steps up to Formula 1, while Martí continues his debut FE campaign. Therefore, Campos Racing is left with a new driver duo, which for the first time ever is an all-rookie lineup, featuring Nikola Tsolov and Noel León.
Tsolov and Campos Racing have a history, as the Bulgarian driver first raced with them in 2022, when they won the Spanish F4 Championship. In the FIA F3 2025 season, they joined forces once again, with Tsolov achieving two race wins and six podiums. His success helped Campos Racing claim its first-ever F3 Teams’ Championship, while he claimed P2 in the Drivers’ Championship.
The Red Bull Junior Team member made his F2 debut at the 2025 F2 Lusail round, fighting for a Sprint podium against Rafael Villagómez before dropping to P10. However, in the Yas Marina season finale, Tsolov secured a strong P3 Sprint podium before heading into the F2 2025 post-season testing.
Noel León takes the second F2 2026 Campos Racing seat after two campaigns in F3. His 2025 F3 season featured two Feature Race podiums at Silverstone and Monza, among weekends of struggling for consistency. However, in his rookie F3 2024 season, León showcased his pace and consistency by scoring points in 11 of the 14 races across the final seven rounds, including 4 podiums.
Campos Racing aims for these types of strong results from both rookie drivers heading into the 2026 F2 season. As for them, consistency remains the key to challenging Invicta Racing for the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championships.
