Hitech TGR’s Deagen Fairclough experienced one of the most emotional moments of his racing career at Monza, finally taking his first GB3 victory of 2025 in the penultimate race of the season. After a campaign filled with frustration and near misses, the breakthrough win brought visible relief. Fairclough had worked relentlessly through the highs and lows of 2025, and his team’s faith in him finally paid off in spectacular style.

Moments after stepping out of the car, he expressed pure joy and gratitude, acknowledging how much the moment meant to everyone involved.

“Yeah, I mean, finally. I’ve missed this feeling so much and the team deserve it. They’ve put up with me all year and yeah, to finally get a win at the end of the season is mega.”

Fairclough’s tone carried both disbelief and pride. Throughout a demanding year, he has faced pressure and setbacks, but this victory validated his persistence and the team’s unwavering commitment.

“All the lows have definitely come out now today, but yeah, I’m really pleased. Everyone, the support from Rocky, everyone at Hitech, I’m super, super, super pleased.”

After months of effort and disappointment, Monza felt like redemption.

Emotional relief and a weight lifted

The win did more than provide points — it lifted a psychological burden. Fairclough admitted he had aimed to win all season and felt delighted to achieve that goal before the final race of the year.

“Yeah, definitely. I wanted to win all season and finally before the last race, which is a reverse grid, so a lot of weight lifted off the shoulders, but I’m just super pleased. It was a tough race, really good hard racing as well between Alex [Ninovic] and Noah [Lisle] and Pradel. Yeah, I’m a bit speechless to be fair. I’ve just missed this feeling.”

After battling hard against strong competitors, Fairclough mixed his relief with admiration for his rivals, showing both respect and sportsmanship.

Mastering tricky conditions

Fairclough also explained that the race presented unique challenges. With cold morning temperatures and several safety cars disrupting momentum, concentration was vital. He discussed how braking and grip levels differed dramatically from Saturday’s warmer conditions.

“Yeah, it was quite difficult out there, especially in the morning and pretty cold. The braking zones were quite a lot different from yesterday afternoon race and their older tyres. It was a lot more challenging and that’s why a few people went off, but I’m just super pleased.”

He then took a moment to acknowledge the personal side of his success, dedicating the moment to those watching back home.

“I’m really happy with that and I know all the support at home, my mum and dad, watching from Brands Hatch currently. Yeah, it’s all paid off finally.”

Deagen Fairclough’s victory at Monza represented more than just a win — it was a story of determination and resilience. Against tough rivals and challenging conditions, he remained composed and precise, delivering when it mattered most. The relief and gratitude in his words showed that this was not just another race result; it was a deeply personal achievement.
