Yuhao “Felix” Fu is set to make his debut in the 2026 GB3 Championship, joining Hitech as the team’s second driver for the season. His journey to this point has been marked by rapid development, impressive performances, and a relentless drive to succeed in single-seater racing. This season marks a significant milestone in his career, as he steps up to one of the most competitive categories in British motorsport.

A swift transition from karting to single-seaters

Fu’s motorsport career began in karting, where he quickly made a name for himself with his speed and determination. However, his transition to single-seaters came swiftly. Just one year after his karting debut, Fu made the leap to the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship in 2023. He competed in the final two rounds of the season, and despite being a newcomer to car racing, he managed to score 10 points across six races, with a best finish of sixth.

This early experience in competitive motorsport provided Fu with a solid foundation, enabling him to take on more challenges as his career progressed. His adaptability and quick learning curve have been key to his success in subsequent seasons.

The 2024 season was a defining year for Felix Fu. He expanded his racing programme significantly, competing in multiple Formula 4 championships. Fu entered the FIA F4 British Championship, where he earned consistent points finishes while showcasing his pace and racecraft. He also took part in the F4 UAE Championship, the F4 Middle East Championship, and Formula Trophy UAE, all of which helped him sharpen his skills on different types of circuits and under various racing conditions.

One of Fu’s most notable achievements in 2024 came in the F4 Chinese Championship. Here, he secured his first-ever wins in single-seater racing, marking a major milestone in his career. He claimed two victories, two fastest laps, and five podium finishes, ultimately finishing fourth in the championship standings. These results underscored Fu’s growing potential and established him as a promising young driver on the rise.

Continued development in 2025 paves way to 2026 GB3 Championship with Hitech for Fu

In 2025, Fu continued to build on his experience, returning to British F4 while also competing in the F4 Middle East Championship. His participation in these series exposed him to some of the most challenging circuits and varying conditions, further honing his racing skills. The additional experience he gained in these competitions proved invaluable in preparing him for the step up to the GB3 Championship.

Looking to the 2026 season, Fu’s focus shifted to the Formula Regional Middle East Trophy, where he raced alongside the well-regarded Van Amersfoort Racing team. This paved his way to the next major step in his career: the 2026 GB3 Championshipa highly competitive series that provides a platform for young drivers to showcase their talent and compete at the forefront of British motorsport. Joining Hitech, one of the top teams in the championship, Fu is eager to take on the challenge and further his development.

In a statement about his move to Hitech, Felix said: “I’m really excited to be joining Hitech for this GB3 campaign. After gaining so much experience across different series, I’m looking forward to working with the team and pushing for strong results in 2026.”

Hitech’s GB3 Team Manager, Phil Blow, expressed his confidence in Fu’s potential, highlighting his consistent progression through the ranks: “Felix has shown consistent progression through his early single-seater career, adapting quickly to each new challenge. His speed, focus, and attitude make him a perfect fit for Hitech, and we’re confident he’ll continue to grow and deliver strong performances this season.”
