The FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 Championships just announced the Aramco Pole Position Award. This will be the first award awarded to Pole sitters from both the Formula 2 and Formula 3 series. As both serieses continue to garner more attention from fans and rise in popularity.
While viewers of Formula One will be very familiar with the Pirelli Pole Position Award awarded every weekend. This will be a first for the junior series. Instead of the tyre, Formula 2 and Formula 3 pole sitters will be awarded with a trophy instead.

The trophy uses simple bold line to create a dynamic and bold design. Aramco is also proud to announce that it was produced using materials such as carbon fibre. A direct showcase of Aramco’s status in the sector of innovation and technology.
When the first awards will be presented
The Aramco Pole Position Award will be making its debut this weekend at the Imola GP. Aramco Pole Position trophies will be awarded to the driver who sets the fastest lap time during Qualifying for both the Formula 2 and Formula 3 Championship respectively on Friday.
The first ever Aramco Pole Position trophy will be presented at 16:35 CET to the pole sitter of Formula 3. It will later be presented to the Formula 2 pole sitter at 16:40 CET. These awards will be given out at the Formula 2 and Formula 3 paddock at the Imola GP.
