Formula E is getting ready to Go Green again in Jakarta for FP2. Will DS Penske’s Maxi Günther manage to end on top of the standings a ninth session in the past ten at the location?

All drivers immediately came out on the still very damp track to test the rather different conditions compared to yesterday’s FP1.

Early laps in

Evans set the first benchmark of the day in 1:16.45, half a second faster than his teammate and latest race winner Nick Cassidy. However it’s short lasted as Wehrlein goes fastest in 1:16.19s.

Cassidy lost grip and almost hit the wall, just like Barnard had done previously. The Jaguar driver pits for a new front wing.

Ten minutes into the session, Wehrlein has lowered the best time of the day so far to 1:15.09s, leading ahead of De Vries, Rowland and Barnard. A replay shows Cassidy’s front suspension going floppy in the slight hit.

Envision’s Sylviain Filippi confirms that Robin Frijns does not have further complications on his car after missing out on FP1 yesterday. The Dutch driver is now in P7.

At the halfway point of the session Wehrlein still holds the fastest time ahead of Mortara and Vandoorne,as the top 15 all have times in the 1:15s.

A quiet morning

In the final quarter of the session all drivers return on track after a mid session tyre change. Hughes goes fastest in 1:13,67s as the track gets faster and cleaner.

Not all track is cleaning at the same time however. Replays show Ticktum struggling to keep his car straight. Nicky Cassidy still hasn’t managed to resume his session after his slight hit at the beginning of Formula E Jakarta FP2 , with the Kiwi driver only rejoining the grid for the final 6minutes

Barnard moves up to P3, 0.09s off Werhlein’s best effort. Rowland and Frijns are investigated for tyre pressure infringement, with Günther joining them a little after.

A dry line is forming right ahead of Qualifying, with the current weather and track conditions set to hold up for the upcoming session, although there might be rain during the race.

No one improved in the final stages of the calm session, leaving Jake Hughes as the leader for Formula E Jakarta FP2. The Maserati driver holds an impressive 1.4s on all of his colleagues, with the second closest being reigning Formula E champion Wehrlein in the 1:15s.

Tune in in a couple of hours for Qualifying!
