Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Ninovic made it two wins from two at Brands Hatch by once again converting pole into victory in the second 2025 GB3 Championship race of the weekend. Despite a revised timetable following an earlier on-track incident in a support race, the Australian showed no loss of focus, controlling the delayed contest from lights to flag.
Strong start and early Safety Car
Lining up from pole after setting a new qualifying lap record in Q2, Ninovic launched well and immediately covered off any challenge from Hillspeed’s Freddie Slater on the run to Paddock Hill Bend. However, the race was quickly neutralised when Hitech’s Keanu Al Azhari went off at the top of Pilgrims Drop on the opening lap, bringing out the safety car.
Ninovic nailed the restart at the end of lap four, instantly breaking the tow and edging out of DRS range. From that point onwards, he steadily extended his lead, ensuring that Slater had no chance of mounting a challenge.
Podium repeats Race 1
The race’s closing stages followed a similar pattern to Saturday’s opener. Ninovic drove flawlessly to open up a margin of over two seconds at the flag, with Slater once again forced to settle for second. Behind them, Deagen Fairclough completed the podium for the second day in succession, his Hitech TGR entry crossing the line just over four seconds back.
With his second victory of the weekend, Ninovic has extended his advantage in the standings to 67 points. The Rodin driver is now firmly in control of the title battle heading into the third and final race of the weekend, scheduled for 17.55.
Battles behind the leaders
Further down the order, Patrick Heuzenroeder held fourth place throughout, despite sustained pressure from fellow Australian Gianmarco Pradel. The Rodin driver stayed close but could not find a way past, eventually finishing just over half a second behind. Hillspeed’s Hiyu Yamakoshi enjoyed a clear run to sixth.
JHR’s Kai Daryanani took seventh after a solid drive, finishing three seconds ahead of Kanato Le, who in turn narrowly resisted pressure from Abbi Pulling’s Rodin machine. Pulling finished less than a second behind in ninth. The final point went to Daryanani’s teammate Noah Lisle, who edged Elite’s Will Macintyre by less than two tenths after a late-race scrap.
