Reza Seewooruthun stormed to his first ever GB3 Championship win in the final race of the 2025 weekend at the Hungaroring, delivering not only a career milestone but also the maiden victory for the Argenti with Prema alliance. Starting from third on the grid, the British driver wasted no time in stamping his authority, surging into the lead on lap one and never looking back.

By the flag, Seewooruthun held a crushing 16.585s advantage, the second-biggest winning margin in GB3 history, surpassed only by Lando Norris’ 19-second victory at Snetterton in 2016.

Brave opening lap move secures the lead

Seewooruthun made his intentions clear at the very start. From third, he swept around the outside of Flynn Jackes and pole-sitter Kai Daryanani at turn one. Forced onto the kerb at the exit, he kept his foot down, kicking up dust as he held his line on the run to turn two.

Going wheel-to-wheel with Daryanani, Seewooruthun launched his decisive move up the inside. The battle continued through the fast right-hander at turn three, where the British driver finally completed the overtake. From that moment onwards, he simply disappeared into the distance.

Unstoppable pace builds historic margin

At the end of the opening lap, Seewooruthun already led by more than two seconds. With relentless pace, he stretched the gap by roughly a second per lap. By lap four, the lead had swelled to 5.4 seconds, and by lap 10 it had reached 10.7 seconds. When the chequered flag fell, his gap over the field stood at a commanding 16.585s, underlining a performance of complete dominance.

Behind him, Daryanani held firm for second place, securing his best result of the season and rebounding from disappointment earlier in the weekend. VRD’s Hugo Schwarze delivered once again with a measured drive to third, claiming his third podium of the campaign after starting from fourth.

Battles throughout the midfield

Jackes gave Elite Motorsport something to celebrate by taking a career-best finish in fourth, hounding Schwarze throughout and remaining within DRS range for much of the contest. Fairclough engaged in his usual combative style for Hitech, eventually finishing fifth after a heated exchange with Will Macintyre at turn five. The clash left Macintyre spinning to the back of the pack, while Fairclough pressed on to claim solid points.

Behind him, Patrick Heuzenroeder secured sixth for Xcel Motorsport, just ahead of a tightly packed train of cars. Al Azhari climbed four positions to finish seventh, while Ninovic also gained four places to take eighth, keeping his title campaign firmly on track. Pulling and Pradel ensured all three Rodin cars finished inside the top 10, with the battling group stretching back to Lucas Fluxa in 12th.
