A very interesting and promising driver duo will be behind the wheel of Envision Racing’s electric challenger for the upcoming Madrid Rookie Test: Ella Lloyd and Zak O’Sullivan.
Both drivers have already had chances to display their worth with the British team in previous Rookie sessions and segments.
Lloyd’s first Formula E Rookie Test in Madrid
Talented member of the McLaren Development Driver Programme, Lloyd had made her electric debut in the all-women testing session held in Valencia before the beginning of the current 2025/2026 season, scoring a P5.
The Welsh will compete in her second full season of F1 Academy, driving for Rodin Motorsport, after ending her rookie season in a rather positive overall P4. During 2025, she secured a race win in Jeddah as well as four other podiums.
Lloyd is very pleased to drive again for Envision Racing in the impending Madrid Rookie Testing, as she commented on the announcement.
“I’m really looking forward to driving the Formula E car again with Envision Racing.”
“The test last year in Valencia was a fantastic experience and I learnt a great deal from the team. I’m excited to build on that progress and continue developing in Madrid.”

Will O’Sullivan storm again to the top?
Zak O’Sullivan serves as Simulator Driver for the team sitting in P5 in the teams’ standings, while also returning for a second full time season of Super Formula racing with Impul.
The Brit will take part in a Rookie session with the green team for the third time. His latest outing for Envision had turned out to be a rather successful experience, as he topped the Miami Rookie Practice session.
Even before the official announcement of his becoming a simulator driver for the British team, O’Sullivan had had rather successful sessions in Berlin and Jeddah.
O’Sullivan positively expanded on his new opportunity with Envision in the Madrid Rookie Test, which will allow him to have a full day of track time. In fact, the young talents involved will be able to be on track for two three hours sessions.
“After a successful FP0 session in Miami, I’m excited to get a full day in the car in Madrid. It’s been a good start to the season for the team, so I’ll be working hard to assist where I can with data and feedback.”
A successful line-up
Envision Racing CTO Sylvain Filippi praised this next generation of drivers, acknowledging their strengths and the lasting impression they had left upon their debut.
“We are delighted to welcome Ella back to the team for the Madrid rookie test. She demonstrated impressive pace during her first outing in Valencia. This test will be a great opportunity for her to continue that progress and further integrate with the team.”
“Zak is a great asset to our team, and this test gives him another opportunity to learn more about the car to help the engineers and drivers going forward for the rest of the season. He had a strong showing in Miami, so we’re looking forward to seeing his progress in Madrid.”
