Luke Browning has received the Dallara Overtake of the Year Award for the 2025 F2 season. This was awarded to him due to his display in wet conditions over the Silverstone F2 round. Drivers of likes of Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Leonardo Fornaroli were recipients in 2024.

During the 2025 F2 British GP Feature Race, Browning displayed his true overtaking abilities, climbing to P3 after starting in P12. He exhibited strong overtakes through Copse, Maggotts and Becketts, and Club, proving himself worthy of this honourable award.

Built for wet conditions

The Briton took the stage to accept the Dallara Overtake of the Year Award, and spoke on the conditions that claimed him this award. Notably, he acknowledged his own strength in wet conditions, stating “they are my conditions for sure”. With the 2025 F2 season marking Browning’s first full season in the category, his results and this award are proof of his potential.

To make the award, and the 2025 F2 British GP results even sweeter, Browning completed this on home soil. Despite his clear strength in the wet, the Williams Academy Driver hailed his team, Hitech TGR. He noted that his results, as well as P2 in the Teams’ Championship in 2025 wouldn’t have been possible without the team, and the car they built.

“The wet are my conditions, for sure. One thing I do have to say is that it would have been absolutely impossible without the car that Hitech TGR gave us this year. Second in the Teams’ Championship and a fantastic job all round has put us there. A big thank you to all of the team and well done to them all.”

Browning had a strong 2025 F2 season overall, proving his strengths, and his place in Formula 2. With the 2026 season fast approaching, the Briton will be presumably aiming for equal, if not stronger results.
