Meyer Shank Racing have confirmed that Marcus Armstrong will remain with their IndyCar team for the 2026 season. He has had a very strong first campaign with them following his move from Chip Ganassi Racing.

While the standout moment was a P3 finish at Iowa, the New Zealander has been a model of consistency as the year has gone on. In 8 of the last 9 rounds, he has finished inside the top 10.

Heading into the final two rounds of 2025, he sits P9 in points, just 11 behind Will Power who holds 6th place. The gap to teammate Felix Rosenqvist is a mere 6 points and two spots.

“I’m very pleased and grateful to be back with Meyer Shank Racing and my crew for 2026.

“The professionalism and attention to detail is a benchmark throughout the field and we have certainly improved with time together which has been great. We’ll look to build on our momentum and work hard to climb the points standings.”

With both drivers inside the top 10 in points, Marcus Armstrong partnering Felix Rosenqvist into 2026 always looked likely. The team has made significant progress on race pace this year, allowing both drivers to claim rostrum finishes at Road America and Iowa respectively.

The next step for the team is to become regular IndyCar victory and podium challengers, just like CGR, Team Penske, Arrow McLaren and Andretti.

Mike Shank shared his delight at the Marcus Armstrong renewal.

Mike Shank, co-owner of Meyer Shank Racing

“We’re thrilled to have Marcus back for 2026.

“He’s really grown a lot this season and we’re seeing that in his results as the season has gone on. His performance this year has shown that he has all the tools to fight at the front.

“We’re excited to continue building on this progress together.”
