Megan Bruce will graduate to a full-time seat in F1 Academy for the 2026 season, representing TAG Heuer, the series’ Official Partner, Timepiece and Timekeeper. The 21-year-old Bruce will contest her F1 Academy rookie campaign in the TAG Heuer entry operated by Campos Racing, marking a major milestone in a career that began only three years ago.
Rapid rise through the ranks sees Bruce earn TAG Heuer backing for 2026 F1 Academy campaign with Campos
Bruce, born in 2004, first karted recreationally with her father before launching her competitive career in the 2023 Caterham Academy. She secured her first podium after just five races and finished 10th overall in the championship.
She returned to Caterham machinery in 2024, competing in the 270R Championship from Knockhill onwards. Bruce claimed two top-five finishes at Brands Hatch and closed her campaign strongly with four podiums at Donington Park.
Her progression continued in single-seaters in 2024 when she joined Fox Motorsport for her debut GB4 Championship season. She recorded nine top-10 finishes, including a season-best sixth at Snetterton, and ended the year 11th in the standings.
Bruce remained in GB4 for 2025, switching to KMR Sport as part of the Motorsport UK Academy. She delivered a standout weekend at Oulton Park, finishing fourth and ninth, her strongest results of the season. She later left the series before the final round to prepare for her F1 Academy opportunity.
Valuable testing and debut F1 Academy experience in 2025
In September 2025, Bruce took part in the inaugural F1 Academy Rookie Test at Circuito de Navarra, where she impressed by setting two top-four times across the test sessions.
Two weeks later, she made her race debut in the series, stepping in for an injured driver at the Singapore round with Hitech TGR. She finished 12th and 13th in her two races, gaining vital experience on a Formula 1 support bill.
Bruce also broadened her experience internationally by contesting the newly relaunched F4 Saudi Arabian Championship in late 2025. She secured a best result of seventh in the season finale at Jeddah.
Bruce grateful for the opportunity and ready for the next chapter
Speaking about her step up to F1 Academy, Bruce said she was grateful for the opportunity to represent the legendary brand.
“I’m really excited to be joining TAG Heuer and Campos Racing for the 2026 F1 ACADEMY season,” said Bruce. “TAG Heuer have a major presence in motorsport and supporting many successful athletes in F1 and other sports.
“Having started this journey just three years ago, I’m super grateful for their belief in me and giving me this opportunity. I had a great time getting my first taste of F1 ACADEMY in Singapore, learning so much, so I can’t wait to work with Campos Racing and get this season started.”
Bruce now enters her first full F1 Academy campaign with experience across Caterham, GB4 and Formula 4 competition. She has shown consistent development, adaptability and pace at every stage of her young career.
With TAG Heuer’s backing and Campos Racing’s proven pedigree in junior single-seaters, Bruce will aim to convert her rapid rise into strong results as she embarks on the next phase of her journey in 2026.
