Rodin Motorsport’s Gianmarco Pradel produced a controlled and intelligent performance to claim third place in 2025 GB3 Race 1 at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. The result completed an all-Australian podium behind teammates Alex Ninovic and Patrick Heuzenroeder, marking another strong showing for Rodin.

After the race, Pradel described the joy of returning to a track he knows well and explained how he managed the race with patience and awareness.

“Yeah, fantastic to be back. Obviously, I know the circuit relatively well, so yeah, it’s good to be back again. Yeah, with the race, just sat behind, waited for something to unfold.”

Knowing when to attack and when to hold position is vital at such a high-speed circuit, and Pradel executed that balance with precision.

“Luckily, the driver ahead made a few mistakes and I was able to capitalise on that in the closing laps. So yeah, pretty happy with it, pretty happy with how it unfolded. But you know, still got two more to go, full focus on those now.”

Team pride and motivation

In addition to personal satisfaction, Pradel also took pride in contributing to a strong team result. With Rodin Motorsport’s leadership present at Monza, the podium had additional significance for everyone involved.

“Great result for the team, especially with David Dicker [Rodin Cars CEO] here as well. Yeah, yeah, it’s fantastic. Great to bring it home. I mean, yeah, big shout out to everyone at Rodin, it’s been fantastic. And yeah, good to do it when David sees us, so yeah. Of course it is.”

His gratitude and appreciation reflected a strong sense of unity within the team. It also illustrated the culture of support and shared achievement that has helped Rodin Motorsport dominate the GB3 Championship.

Building on success

Pradel’s calm confidence and awareness of what is still to come show a driver with both ambition and perspective. The Monza performance served as a reminder that he remains a key part of Rodin Motorsport’s formidable lineup. By capitalising on mistakes, managing pace intelligently, and remaining composed throughout, Pradel delivered a drive that combined patience with precision. As the final races of the season approach, his focus and experience could well see him fighting at the front once more.
