Ahead of the 2026 season, the Red Bull Junior Team has parted ways with Oliver Goethe, Tim Tramnitz, Jules Caranta and Christopher Feghali, each departing after relatively short spells with the prestigious programme. In 2025, Goethe and Tramnitz competed in FIA Formula 2 and Formula 3 respectively with MP Motorsport, while Caranta raced in Eurocup-3 and Feghali contested in the Spanish F4 Championship.
Given the programme’s success in producing many of today’s well-known talents, these young drivers now join a long list of racers who have moved on from the Red Bull Junior Team’s highly competitive and high-pressure environment.
A tough rookie season in F2 for Goethe

Heading into the season, Goethe entered the year with prior experience in F2. He replaced Franco Colapinto at MP Motorsport for the final four rounds of the 2024 season, following the Argentinian’s promotion to Formula 1 with Williams Racing. While 2025 proved underwhelming, Goethe showed late-promise and ended his season well by topping the F2 post-season test in Abu Dhabi.
The 2024 F3 season marked the 21 year-old’s first year representing the iconic Red Bull colours, as he finished 7th in the Drivers’ Standings with 94 points, securing one win and two podium-finishes. That campaign proved enough to earn a promotion up the single-seater ladder, where he partnered experienced veteran Richard Verschoor this year.
After a difficult campaign, Goethe will return to the F2 grid in 2026 with MP Motorsport. While results failed to reflect his potential, a dominant post-season test performance offered a glimpse of his development over the course of the year.
A new chapter of uncertainty for Tramnitz

In 2025, Tramnitz returned to the Formula 3 grid with MP Motorsport for a second shot at the title. However, the German driver fell short of a top-three championship finish, ending the season 4th in the Drivers’ Standings with 94 points. He began the year strongly, securing back-to-back podiums in the Bahrain Feature Race and Imola Sprint Race, finishing 3rd and 1st respectively. Things soon went downhill in the second half of the season, as he struggled to finish in the points and managed to score only three points-finishes across the final five rounds.
Tramnitz joined the team in October 2023, with the 2024 season marking his first full year sporting the Red Bull colours and livery. Following his departure, the 21 year-old’s plan for 2025 remain uncertain after it was reported he’d struggled to secure a Formula 2 seat due to the lack of funding.
Caranta and Feghali’s short-lived partnership with Red Bull

Red Bull announced Caranta’s arrival to the programme in September 2024, following a young driver search at the Circuit de Jerez. After just one year with the team, the French driver’s stint with the prestigious programme was short-lived. The 17 year-old made his single-seater debut in 2024, competing in the F4 UAE and French championships, before stepping up to Eurocup-3 in 2025 with Campos Racing, where he finished 6th in the Drivers’ Standings.

Feghali enjoyed a highly successful karting career and earned a spot in the team after taking part in the programme’s Driver Search, like Caranta. After concluding his karting career in 2024, the Lebanese driver quickly moved up to single-seaters, where he contested in six Spanish F4 races that same year. In 2025, he returned to the championship for a full-season and also competed in the Eurocup-4 Spanish Winter Championship, finishing 13th and 10th in the Drivers’ Standings respectively.
Like Tramnitz, both Caranta and Feghali have yet to reveal their plans for the 2026 season.
