Red Bull Racing’s livery reveal took place on January 15, 2026, ahead of the 2026 F1 season. The reveal took place in partnership with Ford Racing’s season launch in Detroit, Michigan, paying homage to the power unit supplier’s heritage.
Red Bull partners with Ford for 2026 F1 campaign
In 2023, Ford announced a long-term partnership with Red Bull Powertrains ahead of the 2026 F1 season. This season marks Red Bull’s first year with Ford as their power unit supplier. As per the 2026 engine regulation changes, F1 cars will feature hybrid power units. These new units will deliver a significant increase in battery power and a balanced split between internal combustion and electrical energy.

Ford previously supplied F1 teams with power units, enjoying success with Lotus, Williams and Benetton, before leaving the sport. The Red Bull Ford Powertrains partnership is expected to extend to 2030, marking Ford’s first return to F1 since 2004. They had previously worked with Jaguar. Red Bull took over when the car manufacturer quit at the end of that campaign.
Driver lineup changes for the 2026 F1 season
Ahead of the livery reveal, Red Bull announced a new F1 driver lineup After a successful rookie season, Isack Hadjar got promoted from Racing Bulls to the senior Red Bull team. Hadjar impressed in 2025, showcasing his rapid pace and scoring his maiden podium at the Dutch GP.

Verstappen remains at Red Bull for the 2026 season, aiming to achieve his fifth world title. The Dutchman has driven for Red Bull since 2016, scoring his maiden win on debut at the Spanish GP. From 2021 to 2024, Verstappen won four consecutive championships with the team. While he drove an impressive season in 2025, scoring eight wins and overcoming a midseason deficit of 104 points, Verstappen fell short of the title by two points to McLaren driver Lando Norris.
